Abstract
In modern days, employees are viewed as the most important asset of a company. In the past, many companies perceived customer as the king, but the mindset has changed. Many companies now started to take extra care of their own employees. One aspect to be focused on is on how a company manage the organizational structure, as it directly affects the employees. Many believes that by managing the organizational structure well, it will influence on how well the company will perform. Therefore, the writer is intrigued to analyse on the influence of organizational structure on a firm’s performance.
In this study, 55 respondents, who are part of PT Heriwel Bintang Sejahtera, will be questioned regarding the organizational structure and the firm’s performance of the company they are working in, then the data will be used to be analysed. Data will be collected by a questionnaire distributed online. The data will be tested to see if it is both valid and reliable by distributing pre-test questionnaire to 30 respondents from CV Benteng Honda Motor beforehand.
Result of the study shows that organizational structure does have an influence towards firm’s performance based on the hypothesis z-test that accept the alternate hypothesis, suggesting this conclusion./Beberapa tahun terakhir, banyak perusahaan menganggap karyawan sebagai aset terpenting yang dimiliki. Sebelumnya, banyak yang menganggap konsumen adalah raja. Namun, pandangan ini mulai berubah seraya berjalannya waktu. Oleh karena itu, semakin banyak perusahaan yang lebih memperhatikan kesejahteraan karyawannya, salah satunya dengan menerapkan struktur organisasi yang tepat, sebagaimana ini berhubungan langsung dengan karyawan. Banyak pandangan menyatakan bahwa jika struktur perusahaan diurus dengan baik, maka kinerja perusahaan juga akan membaik. Oleh karena itu, penulis tertarik untuk mencari tahu pengaruh struktur organisasi terhadap kinerja perusahaan.
Dalam penelitian ini, 55 orang bagian dari PT Heriwel Bintang Sejahtera akan dilibatkan untuk menjawab pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengan struktur organisasi dan kinerja perusahaannya, lalu hasilnya akan dianalisa. Berhubung adanya pembatasan sosial, kuesioner akan dibagikan secara online. Sebelumnya, data akan diolah dengan analisis validitas dan reabilitas dengan pengukuran yang dilakukan dengan membagikan kuesioner kepada 30 orang karyawan CV Benteng Honda Motor.
Dari hasil penelitian, dapat dibuktikan bahwa struktur perusahaan mempengaruhi kinerja perusahaan, sebagaimana ditunjukkan hasil dari uji hipotesa yang menerima hipotesis alternatif.
