Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan fenomena pengajaran motorik anak usia dini yang terkoordinasi dalam tari. Usia dini merupakan masa keemasan sehingga seluruh aspek perkembangannya perlu distimulasi. Kemampuan motorik anak usia dini merupakan kemampuan yang sangat berperan penting dalam proses perkembangan anak usia dini untuk pertumbuhan selanjutnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini meninjau bentuk pengajaran untuk meningkatkan motorik anak melalui satu jenis seni tari, yaitu balet. Marlupi Dance Academy sebagai sekolah balet yang mampu mencetak ballerina bertalenta dan berprestasi serta dapat mengharumkan nama bangsa Indonesia di kancah internasional, maka penelitian fokus pada pendidikan dasar balet yang diterapkan pada anak usia dini di sekolah balet Marlupi Dance Academy pada kelas Pre-Primary, berikut yang melatarbelakangi pendidikan itu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi biografi. Akhirnya penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan : 1) Latar belakang kehidupan Marlupi Sijangga telah mempengaruhinya menjadi pribadi yang kuat, tidak pernah putus asa, gigih, pekerja keras, tangguh dan konsiten yang patut diteladani. Dengan kepribadian itu dan dipadukan dengan kecintaan terhadap tanah air, ternyata mempengaruhi karya-karya tari yang diciptakannya yang bercorak Indonesia. 2) Kemampuan dan pengalaman Marlupi Sijangga yang berpadu dengan dua generasinya telah mempengaruhi “Metode Dasar Balet di MDA”, termasuk untuk anak usia dini” yang diberi nama “Requirement Progression Chart of MDA Training Syllabus Curiculum”. 3) Metode Dasar Balet di MDA untuk usia dini telah mempraktekkan Best Pedagogical Practice, serta memiliki kemiripan dengan pendidikan tari untuk PAUD dan Kurikulum Balet DKI Jakarta, dengan keunikan pada pernafasan, kelenturan, kekuatan, dan keseimbangan dapat meningkatkan perkembangan motorik anak usia dini. 4) Metode Dasar Balet di MDA untuk usia dini selain dapat dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan motorik anak, juga dapat digunakan mengembangkan kompetensi intelektual, wahana sosial dan multikultural serta multidisiplin, wahana cinta lingkungan, pengembangan kreativitas, kognitif, sosial – emosional, bahasa, dan dapat meningkatkan kemandirian, serta kepekaan. / The background of the research was the motor learning in dance for early childhood phenomenon. In the early childhood age, all the growth aspects need to have stimulation. The motor skill is the biggest influence in the child growth phases. The research aimed to present how the upskilling the motors in one dance genre: ballet. The Marlupi Dance Academy (MDA) as the distinguished ballet school had implemented ballet for the early years. The research used the Marlupi Dance Academy as the main resource in looking closely at how their curriculum implementation helped motor growths. The research methods applied were qualitative with a biographical study approach. The research resulted: 1) The life of Marlupi Sijangga had shaped her to become a resilient, hard worker, persistent and consistent. With all the characters and her love for Indonesia, they turned up to be the biggest influence in her works: dances with Indonesian characters. 2) Her skills and experiences combined with the two generations below working with her had influenced the MDA ballet teaching method which also included the method for early years learners named Requirement Progression Chart of MDA Training Syllabus 3) The overall method applied in MDA had practiced the best pedagogical practice and had similarities with dance education for the early childhood schools and ballet curriculum in Jakarta Capital Special Region (Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta). The best practices included breathing technique, flexibility, strength, and balance that supported the growth of early years children's motor skills. 4) The MDA ballet method for early years children was not only used for the developing the motor skill but also used for developing intellectual, social, cultural, self-regulated, creativity, cognitive, social-emotion, language, independent and sensitivity.
