Abstract
Copyrights is a part of intellectual property rights that give legal protection instead music work also give regulation to the users. The purpose of this research is to find legal protection for the creator or the copyrights holder by song or their music. This research is a normative type research with legislation approach and conceptual. From the discussion the writer conclude that: 1. In terms of Show Business, to sing or to play the song with rearrangement live is an economic rights use (performing rights) and then the action to change song’s arrangement without permission is a violation of mechanical right which is there is a reduplication to a work, instead changing form or propagating. 2. Copyrights protection can be reached through into two lines, lawsuit of civil law and criminal charges. In lawsuit of civil law set in article 96-99, while criminal charges set in article 122-119 Copyrights Statue. However, in Copyrights Statute has the weakness potency in law enforcement, like the complaint offense and Article 95 Section (4). Then, Copyrights Statute was suffered a setback, because the complaint offense Article 95 Section (4). The impact get worse and increasing in violation to copyrights
