Abstract

Usually, dyscalculia can be detected when student enter the primary school. People with dyscalculia also have difficulty entering numbers on the right column and some of which are affected by other symptoms such as ADHD, dyslexia, and dysgraphia. All of this will be a parallel arrangement when a child is exposed to dyscalculia. This research is using the experimental method, that the student is given the pretest and posttest. Music therapy activities that can improve and optimize the numeracy skills in children with dyscalculia particularly using the techniques of music and movement and rhythmic imitation, the client will be stimulated to pay attention to the instructions that given by therapist and improve the synchronization between the brain and muscles of the body. Thus, the final result states that when a child with dyscalculia have the confidence, focus and concentration then they will be able to solve math problems with maximum results as we seen at the posttest, the average show us the score is 73,4%
