Abstract

Allah memandang berharga setiap manusia, dan penting bagi manusia untuk memahami hal ini. Siswa yang memahami keberhargaan dirinya di hadapan Allah akan hidup dengan kepercayaan diri yang baik. Namun kegagalan dalam memahami keberhargaan diri mengakibatkan manusia hidup dengan tingkat kepercayaan diri yang rendah. Siswa yang tidak percaya diri cenderung menjadi tidak aktif di dalam proses pembelajaran, sedangkan keaktifan siswa sangat menentukan pencapaian akademik siswa. Penulis menemukan beberapa siswa kelas 6 SD yang tidak aktif, penyebabnya karena kurang percaya diri. Tulisan ini disusun untuk memaparkan bagaimana pengaruh teknik prompting dalam metode tanya jawab terhadap keaktifan siswa kelas 6 SD yang kurang percaya diri. Metode penyusunan tulisan ini ialah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penulisan menunjukkan bahwa teknik prompting dalam tanya jawab memengaruhi keaktifan siswa kelas 6 SD yang kurang percaya diri. Saran yang dapat penulis berikan, pertama penerapan teknik prompting dapat dipadukan dengan teknik tanya jawab lainnya (probing). Kedua, teknik prompting tidak hanya ditujukan kepada siswa yang tidak aktif karena kurang percaya diri, melainkan juga dapat ditujukan pada siswa yang tidak aktif baik itu karena malas, tidak fokus, atau karena yang lainnya. Terakhir, diperlukan sikap hati yang benar, persiapan yang matang, dan kesabaran bagi seorang guru di dalam penerapannya. / God considers every human worth, and it is important for humans to understand this. Students who understand their self-worth before God will live with good self-confidence. However, failure to understand self-esteem results in people living with low levels of self-confidence. Students who are not confident tend to be inactive in the learning process, while student activeness greatly determines student academic achievement. The author found that several grade 6 elementary school students were not active and the lack of self- confident was the cause. This paper aims to describe how the prompting technique influences the question and answer method on the activity of grade 6 elementary school students who are low self-confident. The research method used in this paper is descriptive qualitative. The result of the writing shows that prompting technique in question and answer influences the 6th-grade students' activeness who are low self-confident. The suggestions that the writer can give, firstly, the combination of the application of prompting techniques with other techniques of question and answer (probing, redirecting, compliance, rhetoric). Second, the prompting techniques are not only for students who are inactive because of the lack of self-confidence but can also for students who are not active either because of laziness, unfocused, etc. Finally, it takes the right heart attitude, careful preparation, and patience for a teacher in its application.
