Abstract

Penelitian ini dibuat untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruh earnings per share, retained earnings, dan nilai book-to-market terhadap expected return. Peneliti menggunakan multiple regression model untuk melihat pengaruh dari ketiga variabel independen terhadap satu variabel dependen yang ada. Kemudian data yang digunakan merupakan data seluruh perusahaan yang ada di Indonesia kecuali perusahaan yang berbasis keuangan dan asuransi yang terdapat pada BEI, Yahoo Finance dan Capital IQ. Kemudian peneliti juga menggunakan data laporan keuangan kuartal dari sampel perusahaan yang sudah dikumpulkan. Sampel yang terkumpul berjumlah 210 perusahaan dari periode tahun 2008 sampai 2019 dengan total jumlah observasi sebanyak 9431. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa earnings per share memiliki pengaruh signifikan yang bersifat positif terhadap expected return, namun retained earnings dan book-to-market tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap expected return.
