Abstract

Kecemasan merupakan keadaan munculnya perasaan takut yang tidak menyenangkan. Pada awalnya kecemasan muncul sebagai respon awal dari berbagai macam tekanan, namun jika terus diabaikan, kecemasan dapat berubah menjadi suatu gangguan kecemasan. Gangguan fungsi kognitif sering dikaitkan dengan faktor dari gangguan kecemasan, namun dalam beberapa penelitian sebelumnya, belum terdapat penelitian yang membuktikan hubungan kecemasan dengan gangguan fungsi kognitif pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecemasan dengan gangguan fungsi kognitif pada mahasiswa/i fakultas kedokteran universitas pelita harapan angkatan 2017-2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi desain potong lintang lintang dengan kriteria inklusi mahasiswa fakultas kedokteran UPH yang berusia 12-25 tahun dan kriteria eksklusi mahasiswa yang memiliki tekanan darah tinggi, menderita diabetes mellitus, memiliki indeks massa tubuh tinggi dan juga mahasiswa yang memiliki tingkat aktivitas fisik rendah. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner GAD-7, dan MoCA-Ina. Hasil penelitian diolah dengan analisis Chi – Square menggunakan program IBM SPSS versi 25.0. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan 142 responden, dengan 55 responden mengalami kecemasan. Dari 55 responden yang mengalami kecemasan, 41 (74,5%) diantarnya mengalami gangguan kognitif dan 14 (25,5 %) lainnya tidak mengalami gangguan kognitif. Dari hasil Uji Chi-Square menunjukan hubungan yang signifikan ( p=0,008) antara kecemasan dengan gangguan fungsi kognitif ( OR: 2,862, 95% CI: 1,368-5,987). Terdapat hubungan antara kecemasan dengan gangguan fungsi kognitif pada mahasiswa/i Fakultas Kedokteran UPH angkatan 2017 -2018 / Anxiety is a state of the emergence of unpleasant feelings of fear. Initially anxiety arises as an initial response to various kinds of stresses, but if it continues to be ignored, anxiety can turn into an anxiety disorder. Decreased cognitive function is often associated with factors of anxiety disorders, but in some previous studies, there have been no studies that prove the relationship of anxiety with cognitive impairment in students. The objective of this research is to Identify the relationship between anxiety and cognitive impairment among medical student of Pelita Harapan University Batch 2017-2018. Cross sectional study is chosen as the method used in this research with the inclusion criteria of UPH medical faculty students aged 12-25 years and the exclusion criteria of students who have high blood pressure, suffer from diabetes mellitus, have a high body mass index and also students who have a low level of physical activity. Samples would be taken from medicine Pelita Harapan University using purposive sampling.The data would be collected using GAD-7 and MoCA-Ina questionnaire. The result of this research would be processed under the Chi – Square analytic method using the program of IMB SPSS 25.0 version. The total research sample numbered are 142 samples, with 55 respondent have anxiety. From 55 respondent with anxiety, there are 41 (74,5%) samples with cognitive impairment and the another 14(25,5%) samples with no cognitive impairment. There was a significant correlation ( p=0,008) between anxiety and cognitive impairment ( OR: 2,862, 95% CI: 1,368-5,987). There is an association between anxiety and cognitive impairment among medical students of Pelita Harapan University Batch 2017-2018.
