Abstract

Pembelajaran yang baik tentunya mengarahkan siswa kepada sebuah pembelajaran yang bermakna. Pembelajaran yang tidak bermakna, tentu kurang mengantarkan siswa pada titik pemahaman. Kenyataannya dalam lembaga pendidikan Kristen masih terdapat beberapa siswa yang memiliki pemahaman yang kurang. Kurangnya pemahaman ini tentunya dipengaruhi oleh guru yang sama sekali tidak memberikan penjelasan materi dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk itu, penulisan ini memiliki tujuan untuk membahas bagaimana upaya meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas VII dan VIII terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia melalui empat kompetensi guru. Lalu, metode yang dipakai adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Perkembangan ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata nilai siswa VII B yang melampaui KKM. Dengan demikian, ada sedikit perkembangan dari pemahaman siswa akan materi yang sedang dipelajari. Saat siswa sudah dapat memahami materi pembelajaran dengan baik, maka secara tidak langsung siswa juga sudah memahami atau mendapatkan pemahaman yang benar. Sebab, pemahaman yang benar tercermin dari pemahaman akan materi yang sudah diajarkan oleh guru. Saran lain, agar penelitian selanjutnya dapat meneliti dengan jangka waktu yang cukup lama supaya dapat terlihat dengan jelas peningkatan pemahaman siswa / Good learning certainly leads students to meaningful learning. Learning that is not meaningful, certainly does not lead students to a point of understanding. In fact, in Christian educational institutions there are still some students who have less understanding. This lack of understanding is certainly influenced by the teacher who does not provide an explanation of the material in the learning process. For this reason, this paper aims to discuss how efforts to improve students' understanding of grades VII and VIII of Indonesian language learning through four teacher competencies. Then, the method used is a qualitative descriptive method. This development can be seen from the average score of VII B students who exceeded the KKM. Thus, there is little development in students' understanding of the material being studied. When students are able to understand the learning material well, then indirectly students also understand or get the correct understanding. This is because the correct understanding is reflected in the understanding of the material that has been taught by the teacher. Another suggestion, so that further research can be researched with a long enough time so that it can be seen clearly an increase in student understanding.
