Abstract

Latar belakang: Tidur merupakan salah satu kebutuhan fisiologis yang harus dipenuhi setiap hari. Seiring dengan perkembangan jaman maka kebutuhan untuk tetap terjaga semakin besar terutama pada hari kerja dan pada remaja. Kurangnya tidur dapat mengakibatkan banyak efek negatif seperti penurunan fungsi kognitif, berkurangnya kewaspadaan, dan terganggunya sistem hormon. Salah satu cara untuk meminimalisir efek dari kurangnya tidur adalah menambahkan durasi tidur pada hari libur. Masih terdapat perdebatan apakah penambahan durasi tidur pada hari libur dapat memperbaiki atau memulihkan keadaan kekurangan tidur atau tidak. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara penambahan durasi tidur pada hari libur dengan kualitas hidup pada remaja. Metodologi: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi potong lintang yang akan dilakukan pada 286 orang. Populasi sampel akan diambil dengan cara sampel insidental dan disesuaikan bedasarkan kriteria inklusi. Pengambilan data perbedaan durasi tidur hari libur dan hari kerja dilakukan dengan meminta peserta mengisi kuisioner MCTQ. Pengambilan data kualitas hidup dilakukan dengan meminta peserta mengisi kuisioner EQ-5D-5L. Hasil Analisis Data: Data didapatkan dari 108 responden menggunakan kuesioner MCTQ dan EQ-5E-5L. Data diolah menggunakan uji chi square. Penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang tidak signifikan antara penambahan tidur pada hari libur dengan kualitas hidup remaja dengan p value 0,756 (>0,005). Simpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara penambahan tidur pada hari libur dengan kualitas hidup pada remaja. / Background: Sleep is one of the physiological requirements that needs to be fulfilled every day. Along with the progress of era, the needs to be awaked is larger especially in weekdays and in adolescence. Lack of sleep can cause negative effect such as decreased cognitive function, decreased alertness, and disturbance of hormone system. One way to minimize the effect created by lack of sleep is to add sleep duration in weekends. There is still debate about whether the addition of sleep duration can improve or recover the condition caused by lack of sleep or not. Aims: This study aims to know the association between weekend catch-up sleep and quality of life in adolescence. . Methods: This study use cross sectional method that is applied to 286 subjects. The sample population is taken with incidental sampling and adjusted based on inclusion criteria. Data collection of sleep duration difference in weekdays and weekends is done by asking participants to fill out the MCTQ questionnaire. Data collection of quality of life is done by asking participants to fill out the EQ-5D-5L questionnaire. Result: Data obtained from 108 respondents using MCTQ and EQ-5L-5D questionnaire. The data was analyzed using chi square method. This research shows no significant association between weekend catch-up sleep with quality of life in adolescence with p value 0,756 (>0,005). Conclusion: There is no significant association between weekend catch-up sleep with quality of life in adolescence.
