Abstract

Pendidikan Kristen adalah pendidikan yang membawa siswa untuk semakin memahami maksud dan kehendak Allah melalui pengajaran Alkitabiah. Peran guru Kristen di dalamnya adalah untuk menuntun siswa agar memiliki motivasi belajar yang benar sesuai perspektif Alkitab. Namun demikian, kondisi realita yang terjadi, yaitu guru belum dapat menuntun siswa dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajarnya. Dengan demikian, tujuan dalam penulisan ini adalah untuk menggali lebih dalam mengenai peran guru Kristen sebagai penuntun dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Penyebab dari rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa dikarenakan guru kurang dalam memotivasi siswa, yaitu belum dapat memberikan perkataan yang bisa memotivasi siswa pada awal pembelajaran. Ketika guru Kristen dapat menuntun siswanya dengan baik, maka siswa akan termotivasi untuk belajar. Menuntun siswa dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajarnya merupakan bagian dari tugas dan tanggung jawab yang Tuhan berikan serta percayakan bagi guru Kristen. Oleh karena itu, saran yang dapat diberikan adalah guru Kristen harus merancang pembelajaran dengan kreatif, inovatif, dan terlebih harus memanfaatkan segala kondisi untuk dapat memotivasi siswa dengan cara menuntunnya agar memahami makna serta tujuan hidup melalui kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah./Christian education is education that brings students to better understand God's purpose through biblical teaching. The role of Christian teachers in its to guide students have the correct motivation to learn from biblical perspective. The reality condition that occurs is that the teacher has not been able to guide students in increasing their learning motivation. The purpose of this paper is to dig deeper into the role of Christian teachers as guide in increasing student motivation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The cause of the low student motivation is due to the teacher's lack of motivation in students, namely not being able to provide words that can motivate students at the beginning of learning. Christian teachers can guide their students well, students will be motivated to learn. Guiding students in increasing their learning motivation is part of the duties and responsibilities that God has given and entrusted to Christian teachers. The suggestion that can be given is that Christian teachers must design learning creatively, innovatively, and moreover, they must take advantage of all conditions to be able to motivate students by guiding them to understand the meaning and purpose of life through teaching and learning activities in schools.
