Abstract
Christian teachers have significant role in implementing holistic learning as the vison of Christian education is to transform students’ lives holistically, including for young learners. Implementing holistic learning means creating a learning environment to develop students' intellectual, spiritual, mental, and physical aspects in balance. Moreover, biblical truth as the foundational philosophy of every educational practice is the distinctive characteristic of holistic learning in Christian education. However, the researcher found that there are Christian teachers lack of understanding about holistic learning especially for young learners which reflected on how teaching and learning are done in the classroom. This paper aims to analyze Christian teachers’ role in implementing holistic learning chiefly for young learners in Christian education. The study reveals that the right understanding of implementing Christian holistic learning for young learners is crucial for Christian teachers since it influences their teaching practice. Christian teachers should understand that their role is providing authentic learning, inclusive learning, and facilitating a learning environment for young learners to build their worldview grounded on biblical truth from an early age. The recommendation for Christian teachers is to learn more about the tangible implementation of holistic learning and biblical truth suitable for young learners.
