Abstract

Ketidaksesuaian antara hasil tugas siswa dengan instruksi tugas yang diberikan merupakan salah satu masalah dalam pembelajaran asyncronus. Kemampuan siswa dalam mengerjakan tugas dapat terlihat dari indikator berikut; motivasi, fokus, sikap disiplin, efikasi diri, dan ketepatan dalam mengerjakan tugas sesuai instruksi. Kemampuan siswa dalam mengerjakan tugas juga didasarkan kepada usia perkembangan intelektual. E-mentoring mengembangkan kemampuan siswa mengerjakan tugas melalui pemberian umpan balik, bimbingan dalam mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam mengerjakan tugas, dan mengklarifikasi ambiguitas informasi instruksi tugas yang diberikan. Melalui e-mentoring, guru dapat mengetahui karakteristik gaya belajar siswa dan memberikan kebutuhan belajar sesuai kemampuannya. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penulisan paper ini adalah menjelaskan penerapan e-mentoring terhadap kemampuan mengerjakan tugas siswa kelas VII dalam mata pelajaran IPS pada salah satu sekolah Kristen di kota Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teori belajar humanistik meyakini bahwa proses dan tujuan belajar adalah membentuk sikap manusia yang bebas, berani, dan tidak terpengaruh pandangan orang lain. Kemampuan siswa mengerjakan tugas sesuai instruksi adalah bentuk ketaatan terhadap kehendak Allah. Inilah dasar dari spiritualitas Kristen. Penerapan e-mentoring perlu dikembangkan dalam mendukung aspek akademis dan spiritualitas siswa sebagai penatalayan Allah./Mismatch between students’ work results and the instructions given by the teacher is one of the problems in asynchronous learning. Students have different abilities in doing assignments. It seems from following indicators; motivation, focus, discipline, self-efficacy and accuracy in doing tasks according to instructions. Then, it is based on intellectual development. E-mentoring develops their abilities in doing assignments by giving feedback, guiding students to overcome difficulties, and clarifying ambiguity of given instructions. Through e-mentoring, teachers can find the characteristics of students’ learning styles and provide learning needs for their abilities. Therefore, writing this paper is to explain the application of e-mentoring to the ability of seventh grade students in doing assignments of social science at one of Christian schools in Medan. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Humanistic learning theory believes that the process and purpose of learning is to form humans’ attitudes to be free, courageous, and not influenced by others. The ability is a form of obedience to God’s will. This is the basis of Christian spirituality. The application of e-mentoring needs to be developed in supporting their academic and spirituality as God’s stewards.
