Abstract

Siswa adalah pribadi yang aktif. Keaktifan siswa dapat direalisasikan pada proses pembelajaran. Keaktifan siswa sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran sebab dapat memengaruhi penguasaan konsep dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil observasi memperlihatkan bahwa keaktifan siswa masih rendah. Hal ini diketahui melalui perilaku siswa yang cenderung tidak bertanya, tidak mencatat, dan tidak mengerjakan tugas. Penerapan pendekatan saintifik yakni pendekatan yang berorientasi pada siswa merupakan salah satu langkah efektif terhadap keaktifan siswa. Oleh sebab itu, penulisan proyek akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan pendekatan saintifik yang terdiri dari tahapan mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan data, mengasosiasi, dan mengomunikasikan. Data yang diambil saat proses pembelajaran, dianalisis dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penulisan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik sangat penting. Melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik, siswa difasilitasi, dibimbing, dan dituntun untuk aktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dapat belajar aktif dalam pembelajaran IPA. Saran yang diberikan ialah seorang guru perlu mendiagnosa keaktifan siswa dan menerapkan metode-metode interaktif pada pendekatan saintifik, contohnya metode jigsaw, dan diskusi. Selanjutnya, setiap siswa juga perlu diarahkan untuk menyusun pertanyaan sebelum kelas berlangsung, menyiapkan alat tulis untuk mencatat penjelasan yang diberikan serta membuat timeline pengerjaan tugas./Students are active individuals. Student activeness can be realized in the learning process. Student activeness is very important in the learning process because this can affect the students' mastery of concepts and learning outcomes, however, the results of observations show that student activity is still low. This is known through the behavior of students who tend not to ask questions, not take notes, and do not do assignments. The application of the scientific approach, namely a student-oriented approach, is one of the effective steps for student activity. Therefore, the main purpose of writing this final project is to examine the application of a scientific approach which consists of the stages of observing, asking questions, collecting data, associating and communicating. The data taken during the learning process were analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results of the writing show that the application of the scientific approach is very important. Through the application of the scientific approach, students are facilitated, guided, and guided in the stages of observing, asking questions, collecting data, associating, and communicating. The results showed that students can learn actively in science learning. The advice given is that a teacher needs to diagnose student activity and apply interactive methods to the scientific approach, for example, the jigsaw and discussion methods. Furthermore, each student also needs to be directed to arrange questions before the class takes place, prepare writing tools to record the explanations given, and make a timeline for the assignment.
