Abstract

Ketergantungan masyarakat terhadap media sosial selama masa pandemi COVID-19 ini, memunculkan persepsi publik tentang seberapa besar pengaruh media sosial terhadap pembentukan persepsi publik dari informasi dan pesan yang disampaikan dalam media sosial. Untuk menekan angka penambahan kasus COVID-19 Pemerintah Indonesia melalui akun twitter @KemenkesRI mengajak masyarakat untuk peduli pada penanganan COVID-19. Konten media akun Twitter @KemenkesRI yang akan ditelaah tentang sikap menggunakan masker sebagai salah satu protokol kesehatan, sehingga akan dianalisis menurut teori media dependency theory atau teori ketergantungan media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh terpaan media unggahan tweet @KemenkesRI tentang update kasus positif COVID-19 menggunakan konten media ajakan untuk menggunakan masker. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode regresi linier dengan responden sejumlah 100 yang merupakan followers akun Twitter @KemenkesRI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, terdapat korelasi sangat kuat sebesar 0.869 (86,9%) terpaan media terhadap sikap. Selain itu, terdapat pengaruh antara terpaan media sosial Twitter @KemenkesRI (X) terhadap sikap penggunaan masker selama pandemi COVID-19 (Y) sebesar 0.755 (75,5%), hal ini menunjukkan pengaruh yang kuat./The dependence of the community on social media during the COVID-19 pandemic has led to public perceptions of how much influence social media has had on the formation of public perceptions from information and messages conveyed in social media. The media content of the @KemenkesRI Twitter account will focus more on examining behavior changes using masks as a health protocol so that it will be analyzed according to the media dependency theory. This study aims to examine the effect of media exposure to the tweet uploaded by the Ministry of Health regarding positive case updates of COVID-19 using media content that calls for wearing masks. The method used in this study is a linear regression method with 100 respondents who are followers of the Twitter account @KemenkesRI. The results showed that there is a very strong correlation of 0.869 (86.9%) in the media's attitude. In addition, there is an influence among Twitter social media @KemenkesRI (X) on the attitude of mask used during the COVID-19 (Y) pandemic of 0.755 (75.5%), this shows a strong influence.
