Abstract

Keaktifan siswa merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam dunia pendidikan. Keaktifan siswa yang rendah menjadi salah satu masalah yang dihadapi guru ketika berada di kelas pada saat melakukan penelitian di kelas XI IPS SMA ABC Jakarta Barat. Keaktifan siswa yang kurang ditunjukkan melalui siswa yang tidur, bermain handphone, dan bahkan mengobrol dengan teman di sebelahnya. Akibatnya siswa tidak dapat belajar dengan efektif tidak maksimal. Oleh karena itu peneliti menggunakan permainan Ranking 1 sebagai tindakan untuk mengatasi masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa melalui penggunaan permainan Ranking 1 untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek yang diambil adalah siswa kelas XI IPS SMA ABC yang berlokasi di Jakarta Barat dengan jumlah 7 siswa, terdiri dari 4 siswa perempuan dan 3 siswa laki-laki. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari tanggal 28 Oktober 2015 – 26 November 2015. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi check list mentor, lembar angket siswa, lembar wawancara guru, lembar wawancara siswa, dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif sederhana. Penelitian dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan permainan Ranking 1 dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa kelas XI IPS SMA ABC Jakarta Barat. Permainan Ranking 1 yang efektif dilakukan dengan cara menjelaskan prosedur, membagi siswa ke dalam posisi duduk yang ditentukan, memberikan pertanyaan kepada siswa, dan memberikan penghargaan kepada 3 siswa dengan peringkat teratas. / Active participation by students is one important aspect in education. Low student activity became one of the problems faced by teachers when he was in class at the time of the study in class XI IPS High School ABC Jakarta Barat. Less active students who demonstrated by students who sleep, playing phone, and even chatting with a neighbor. As a result, students can not learn effectively no maximum. Therefore, researchers use game Ranking 1 as action to tackle the problem. This study aims to improve students 'activity through the use of a game Ranking 1 to increase students' activity. This research was conducted by using Action Research (PTK). Subject taken is class XI IPS High School ABC is located in West Jakarta with a total of 7 students, consisting of 4 girls and 3 boys. The research was conducted from 28 October 2015-26 November 2015. The instruments used were teacher’s check list observation sheet, student questionnaire sheet, teacher interview sheet, teacher interview sheet, and journal reflections. Data were analyzed using simple descriptive analysis technique. The research was conducted by two cycles. From the results, it can be concluded that the use of a game Ranking 1 can enhance the activity of class XI IPS High School ABC West Jakarta. Ranking Game 1 is effectively done by explaining the procedure, dividing the students into a sitting position is determined, provide questions to the students, and give awards to top three students.
