Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti di kelas XI IPA SMA X Lampung, didapati bahwa hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada topik sistem gerak manusia mata pelajaran Biologi sangat rendah. Hal ini disebabkan karena siswa sulit untuk mengerti konsep-konsep yang abstrak. Maka dari itu, peneliti menggunakan media visual untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada. Melalui penggunaan media visual ini diharapkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dalam mata pelajaran Biologi dapat meningkat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). PTK ini dilakukan pada tanggal 1 Agustus-13 November 2015 dengan dua siklus. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA yang berjumlah 19 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data adalah lembar observasi guru mentor, lembar angket, lembar tes tertulis, dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Data yang telah diperoleh akan diolah secara deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan penelitian dan analisis yang telah dilakukan, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media visual dalam topik sistem gerak manusia mata pelajaran Biologi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif ranah C1 dan C2 kelas XI IPA SMA X Lampung. / Based on the research that was done by the researcher in grade XI IPA SMA X Lampung, it was found that students’ cognitive achievements in Biology was very low. This is caused by the difficulty students faced in understanding the abstract concepts. Therefore, the researcher applied the implementation of visual media to face this problem. By using visual media, the researcher expected that the students’ cognitive achievement in Biology could increase. The research method that was used by the researcher is classroom action research (CAR). This CAR was held on August 1st 2015 until November 13th 2015 with two cycle. The subject of the research is students in grade XI IPA with an amount of 19 students. The instruments that were used to collect the data are mentor observation sheets, questionnaire sheets, writing test sheets, and researcher’s reflection journal. The data that was obtained will be processed using qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the research and analysis which was done, the researcher concluded that the implementation of visual media in human motion system topic Biology can increase students’ cognitive achievements field C1 and C2 in grade XI IPA senior high school X Lampung.
