Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between learning motivation and interest in learningwith learning outcomes in English lessons in 10th grade at SMK XYZ in the Department of Light Vehicle Engineering. This research is a correlational quantitative research with data collection instrument by using questionnaires and English tests given to students of SMK XYZ in class 10. The results showed that the motivation to learn has a positive relationship with the learning outcomes of 0.725 and interest in learning has a positive relationship with learning outcomes of 0.668. In addition, the relationship between learning motivation and interest in learning has a moderate relationship with learning outcomes of 0.552. Motivation to learn has a strong positive relationship to student learning outcomes, this is because the value of the correlation of 0.725 is stretched from 0.60 to 0.799 which states a strong relationship. Positive correlation value means that the higher the learning interest, the higher the student learning outcomes and the lower the learning interest, the lower the learning outcomes. Whilethe relationship between learning motivation and interest in learning together with learning outcomes is 0.552 which means moderate. This is because it is in the range 0.40-0.599 / Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan minat belajar dengan hasil belajar dalam pelajaran Bahasa Inggris pada kelas 10 di SMK XYZ pada jurusan TeknikKendaraan Ringan.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dengan instrumen pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kueioner serta tes Bahasa Inggris yang diberikan pada siswa SMKXYZ pada kelas 10.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar memiliki hubungan positif dengan hasil belajar sebesar 0,725 danminat belajar memiliki hubungan positif dengan hasil belajar sebesar 0,668. Selain itu hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan minat belajar memiliki hubungansedangdengan hasil belajar belajar sebesar 0,552.Motivasi belajar memiliki hubungan positif yang kuat terhadap hasil belajar siswa, hal ini karena nilai hasil korelasi sebesar 0,725 yang diregangkan dari 0,60menjadi0,799 yang menyatakan hubungan kuat. Nilai korelasi positif berarti semakin tinggi motivasi belajar maka semakin tinggihasil belajar siswa dan sebaliknya semakin rendah motivasi belajar maka semakin rendah pula hasil belajar siswa. Minat dalam belajar memiliki hubungan positif yang kuat denganhasil belajar siswa. Hal ini karena nilai korelasi sebesar 0,668 yang diregangkan dari 0,60 menjadi 0,799 yang menyatakan hubungan yang kuat. Nilai korelasi positif artinya semakin tinggi minat belajarsemakin tinggi hasil belajar siswa dan semakin rendah minat belajar semakin rendahhasil belajar. Sedangkan hubungan motivasi belajar dan minat belajar secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar sebesar 0,552 yang berarti sedang.hal ini dikarenakan berada dalam rentang 0,40-0,599
