Abstract

Mandarin learning using digital media makes learning in the classroom active, fun and more effective. Seen on the learning motivation and learning attitudes of different students in responding to the presence of digital media in the experimental class and control class which is able to distinguish the average value of students in understanding vocabulary. The purpose of this study is to see the difference in the average value of the beginning and end of the dictation results, learning motivation and learning attitudes toward the utilization of digital media in the Mandarin language by students. This is the focus of research because digital media makes the learning process in the classroom become better, real and meaningful. Data collection was carried out by purposive sampling method to eighth grade students of Regina Pacis-Jakarta Middle School, using Nonrandomized Control Group, Pretest-Posttest Design. The approach of this research is Quasi-Experiment Design, data calculation with the help of SPSS statistic 25.0 application evaluating the measurement of difference of average value of two different classes. The result of the research shows that there is difference of average result of dictation, learning motivation and learning attitude in experiment class and control class on utilization of digital media in class VIII Regina Pacis – Jakarta Middle School. / Pembelajaran Bahasa Mandarin dengan menggunakan media digital menjadikan pembelajaran dalam kelas menjadi aktif, menyenangkan dan lebih efektif. Terlihat pada motivasi belajar dan sikap belajar siswa yang berbeda-beda dalam merespon kehadiran media digital pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang mampu membedakan nilai rata-rata siswa dalam pemahaman kosakata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat perbedaan nilai rata-rata awal dan akhir dari hasil dikte, motivasi belajar dan sikap belajar terhadap pemanfaatan media digital dalam pelajaran Bahasa Mandarin oleh siswa. Hal ini menjadi fokus penelitian dikarenakan media digital menjadikan proses pembelajaran dalam kelas menjadi lebih baik, nyata dan bermakna. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling kepada siswa kelas VIII SMP Regina Pacis-Jakarta, dengan menggunakan Nonrandomized Control Group, Pretest-Posttest Design. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah Quasi-Eksperiment Design, penghitungan data dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS statistic 25.0 yang mengevaluasi pengukuran perbedaan nilai rata-rata dua kelas berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya perbedan nilai rata-rata hasil dikte, motivasi belajar dan sikap belajar dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol pada pemanfaatan media digital di kelas VIII SMP Regina Pacis-Jakarta.
