Abstract

Teacher competencies are interesting to study, considering that a teacher is as a central in the learning process. A teacher who wants to deal with the issues of sustainable development in the classroom, should have certain knowledge, skills, and specialized competencies. This study is aimed to analyze the SD Bogor Raya teachers competencies that are needed to deliver the environmental education as the implementation of the education for sustainable development (ESD), are related to each other and how teacher action competence associates with the participation of elementary students in SD Bogor Raya to conserve the environment, and the quality of teacher competencies and students participation as well. The methods used to obtain the result were by using some references of the indicators set by the forum CSCT (Curriculum, Sustainable Development, Competences, Teacher Training) and by the factor analysis and also the symmetrical correlation analysis. Respondents came from 32 teachers and 88 students in grade V and VI. The results obtained that correlations among teacher competencies were drawn with significant values, with the most variance resulted through the factor analysis, 76.43% coming from the teacher’s knowledge competencies and 75.01% viewed from the students perceptions. While the competence of the action itself only gives a variance of 2.54% (the smallest percentage out of the five competencies) coming from questionnaire distributed to teachers and 4.16% variance coming from students' perceptions toward their teachers. The competences of teacher associated with the students participation obtained with significant values as well, viewed from students perception toward their teachers, with the correlation values of 0.583** (teacher knowledge), 0.403** (systems thinking), 0.307** (ethics and values), 0.423** (emotion), and 0.360** (action). / Kompetensi guru dalam mengajar menarik untuk dikaji, mengingat guru sebagai sentral dalam proses belajar mengajar. Seorang guru yang ingin menangani masalah pembangunan yang berkelanjutan di dalam kelas, perlu pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kompetensi khusus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antar kompetensi guru SD Bogor Raya yang perlu dimiliki dalam membawakan pendidikan lingkungan hidup sebagai implementasi pendidikan untuk pembangunan yang berkelanjutan, lalu bagaimana kompetensi guru tersebut berhubungan dengan partisipasi siswa SD Bogor Raya dalam menjaga lingkungan hidup di sekitarnya, dan bagaimana kualitas kompetensi guru beserta kualitas partisipasi para siswanya. Metode yang digunakan untuk memperoleh hasil penelitian ini didapat dengan menggunakan sebagian acuan dari indikator yang ditetapkan oleh forum CSCT (Curriculum, Sustainable Development, Competences, Teacher Training) dengan metode analisis faktor dan analisis korelasi simetris. Penelitian ini memiliki responden yang berasal dari 32 guru dan 88 siswa kelas V dan VI. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa korelasi antar kompetensi guru diperoleh dengan nilai yang signifikan, dengan penjelasan variasi terbanyak menurut analisis faktor, datang dari kompetensi pengetahuan guru, yaitu sebesar 76.43 % dan 75.01 % bila dilihat dari persepsi siswa. Sedangkan kompetensi tindakan sendiri hanya memberikan variasi sebesar 2.54 % variasi (persentasi terkecil dari lima kompetensi) dari hasil kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada para guru dan 4.16 % variasi dari hasil kuesioner mengenai persepsi siswa terhadap gurunya. Masing-masing korelasi antara kompetensi guru dengan partisipasi siswa yang didapat dari persepsi siswa, tercapai signifikansi pula dengan nilai 0.583** (pengetahuan guru), 0.403** (berpikir sistem), 0.307** (etika dan nilai), 0.423** (emosi), dan 0.360** (tindakan).
