Abstract

Kekerasan dalam berpacaran adalah tindakan yang kasar secara fisik, psikis, maupun seksual dalam hubungan berpacaran, dan puncak terjadinya kekerasan dalam berpacaran adalah pada mahasiswa yang termasuk dalam golongan emerging adulthood. Kekerasan dalam berpacaran berhubungan dengan menurunnya kepuasan terhadap hubungan, yang nantinya dapat mempengaruhi hubungan yang akan dijalin emerging adults di masa depan. Terdapat beberapa jenis kekerasan dalam berpacaran, penelitian ini berfokus pada kekerasan psikis. Kekerasan psikis dalam berpacaran dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, namun fokus penelitian ini adalah emotion dysregulation. Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menguji pengaruh emotion dysregulation terhadap perilaku kekerasan psikis dalam berpacaran pada emerging adulthood. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan instrumen penelitian Multidimensional Measure of Emotional Abuse Short Form (MMEA-SF) dan Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS-18). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan emotion dysregulation terhadap perilaku kekerasan psikis sebesar 9.8%. Selain itu penelitian ini juga menemukan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara perempuan dan laki-laki dalam emotion dysregulation (U= 681.5, p=.273) dan kekerasan psikis (U=753, p=.625) / Dating violence is an abusive action physically, psychologically, as well as sexually in dating relationships, and the peak of dating violence is among college students that are included in emerging adulthood. Dating violence is associated with decreased relationship satisfaction that later will influence the relationships of emerging adults in the future. There are types of dating violence, this research is focusing on psychological violence. Psychological dating violence is influenced by some factors, but this research is focused on emotion dysregulation. This research is aimed to examine the influence of emotion dysregulation to psychological dating violence on emerging adulthood. This research is a quantitative research with Multidimensional Measure of Emotional Abuse Short Form (MMEA-SF) and Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS-18) as the research instruments. The result of this research shows that there is a significant influence of emotion dysregulation to psychological dating violence behaviour by 9.8%. This research also doesn’t find any significant differences between females and males in emotion dysregulation (U=681.5, p=.273) and psychological dating violence (U=753, p=.625)
