Abstract

ABSTRAK Purpose – Konsep pariwisata berkelanjutan sudah menjadi keharusan untuk diterapkan yang tidak dapat ditawar lagi. Oleh karena itu peran perguruan tinggi pariwisata di Indonesia sangat penting dalam menanamkan konsep pariwisata berkelanjutan pada para mahasiswa Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari cara bagaimana seharusnya konsep pariwisata berkelanjutan di implementasikan di dalam sebuah kurikulum pada perguruan tinggi pariwisata di Indonesia. Design/methodology/approach – Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif eksplorasi studi kasus. Findings – Rekomendasi bahwa sebaiknya konsep pariwisata berkelanjutan harus menjiwai seluruh kurikulum dan unsur-unsurnya dimasukan dalam setiap mata kuliah. Reseach limitations/implications – Data dikumpulkan dari wawancara terhadap informan. Penelitian ini hanya dilakukan terhadap dosen yang mengajar di Perguruan Tinggi Pariwisata yang ada di Jakarta, Bali, Yogyakarta, dan Jawa Tengah Practical implications – Memberi masukan yang konstruktif dan membantu para pengelola perguruan tinggi pariwisata di Indonesia dalam menyusun dan mengembangkan kurikulum berbasis Konsep Pariwisata Berkelanjutan dalam perguruan tinggi pariwisatanya masing-masing Originality/value – Penelitian ini masih sangat sedikit di lakukan di Indonesia Keywords Pariwisata Berkelanjutan, Sumber Daya Manusia, Perguruan Tinggi Pariwisata, Kurikulum / ABSTRACT Purpose - The concept of sustainable tourism has become a non-negotiable imperative. Therefore, the role of tourism universities in Indonesia is very important in instilling the concept of sustainable tourism in students. This study aims to find out how the concept of sustainable tourism should be implemented in a curriculum at tourism universities in Indonesia. Design / methodology / approach - This study uses a qualitative method and exploratory approach – case study. Findings - Recommendations that the concept of sustainable tourism should be incorporated into the entire curriculum and its elements included in every course. Reseach limitations / implications - Data is collected from interviews with informants. This research was only conducted on lecturers who teach at the Tourism Universities in Jakarta, Bali, Yogyakarta and Central Java Practical implications - Provide constructive input and assist managers of tourism universities in Indonesia in compiling and developing curriculum based on Sustainable Tourism Concepts in their respective tourism higher education Originality / value - This research is still very few in Indonesia.
