Abstract
Permainan memberikan kesempatan pada anak untuk menggabungkan elemen-elemen bahasa dengan cara berbeda tanpa memberikan kekhawatiran pada anak bahwa mereka akan melakukan kesalahan dalam berbahasa. Melalui interaksi verbal yang mungkin terjadi dalam permainan sosiodrama menjadikan permainan ini kondusif untuk belajar bahasa kedua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kosakata, kemampuan mendengarkan dan berbicara anak usia 3-5 tahun melalui permainan sosiodrama yang direncanakan dalam tema tentang transportasi udara. Desain penelitian tindakan kelas yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini memberikan kesempatan kepada empat belas subjek penelitian untuk menggunakan bermacam fungsi bahasa dalam konteks permainan sosiodrama karena dalam permainan ini anak belajar untuk mendengarkan orang lain dan juga belajar mengungkapkan ide dan perasaan mereka. Pada situasi permainan sosiodrama ini, guru berperan sebagai scaffold, fasilitator dan mediator, sedangkan anak diminta untuk terlibat secara aktif. Analisis data dalam penelitian tindakan kelas yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa permainan sosiodrama dapat meningkatkan kosakata, kemampuan mendengarkan dan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas Nursery sekolah ABC yang berusia 3-5 tahun. / Play gives children opportunities to combine the elements of language in different ways without having to worry about the consequences of making errors. Through verbal interaction that may occur during sociodramatic play makes it conducive to learn a second language. The purposes of this study were to analyze 3-5 year old children’s vocabulary, listening and speaking skills as they engaged in sociodramatic play that was set around air transportation theme. The classroom action research design for this study was done in three cycles. It utilized an opportunity that the teacher provided for fourteen research subjects to use language for multiple functions within the context of sociodramatic play by encouraging the subjects to listen to other people, and to speak up their feelings and ideas by implementing the vocabulary they have learned. In this play, the teacher assumed roles as a scaffold, facilitator and mediator while children were actively involved during sociodramatic play. The data analysis in this research showed that the implementation of sociodramatic play improved the vocabulary, the listening and the speaking skills of 3-5 year old Nursery children of the ABC school.
