Abstract

Akhir tahun 2019 hingga awal tahun 2020, Coronavirus disease (covid-19) menghancurkan banyak negara bukan hanya di Asia melainkan hampir seluruh dunia.Wabah covid-19 menyebabkan krisis dalam industri pariwisata di banyak negara salah satunya, Indonesia. Kebijakan “lockdown” yang diterapkan hampir di semua negara terdampak menyebabkan kunjungan wisatawan asing maupun lokal mengalami penurunan sehingga usaha-usaha di dalam industri pariwisata mulai mengalami kerugian besar, tidak terkecuali usaha perhotelan. Para pengamat dan pelaku usaha meyakini bahwa masa pandemi mengakibatkan perubahan perilaku tamu hotel akan berubah dan akan berfokus pada lingkungan dan kebersihan sekaligus mendukung pariwisata berkelanjutan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perubahan-perubahan apa saja yang terjadi pada perilaku konsumen khususnya para tamu hotel dan bagaimana kebutuhan dan keinginan wisatawan untuk menginap di hotel selama masa pandemic dan setelah krisis berakhir agar tetap merasa aman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kombinasi (mixed methods) dengan kuisioner dan wawancara sebagai alat untuk mengumpulkan data-data yang dibutuhkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan implikasi tehadap kebijakan usaha perhotelan dalam membangun kembali usahanya di masa pandemi dan setelah wabah pandemi selesai. / End of 2019 to early 2020, Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) devastating many countries not only in Asia but almost all over the world. The Covid19 outbreak caused a crisis in the tourism industry in many countries, one of them, Indonesia. The "lockdown" policy that was implemented in almost all affected countries caused foreign and local tourist arrivals has declined so that businesses in the tourism industry began to heavy losses, especially hotel industry. Observers and businessman believe that the pandemic period will change the behaviour of hotel guests and they will focus on the environment and cleanliness while supporting sustainable tourism. The purpose of this study is to analyse the changes that occur in consumer behaviour, especially hotel guests and how the needs and desires of tourists to stay at the hotel during the pandemic and after the crisis ends to feel safe. The research method used is a mixed method with questionnaires and interviews as a tool to collect the required data. The results of this study are expected to have implications for hotel business policies in rebuilding their businesses during the pandemic and after the pandemic outbreak is over.
