Abstract

The development of Science and Technology nowadays cause changes especially in learning methods, that is the transition from conventional methods to online learning methods. E-learning is an online teaching and learning activity by utilizing information technology and networks. Perception is a value from the learning process or individual experience of what is received, processed, and interpreted through attitudes or behaviour. Research Objectives: to determine the description of student perceptions about the of effectiveness of e-learning in the learning process at a western part of Indonesia's private university. Methods: Researchers used descriptive quantitative research methods with cross sectional approach with a sample of 183 people. The instrument that used was a Likert scale questionnaire about the of effectiveness of e-learning. Sampling was used probability sampling, namely categorical simple random sampling. Results: The results of the univariate analysis of the of effectiveness of e-learning were mostly good as many as 88% (161 respondents), and the results of the most widely used e-learning platforms were Moodle, Zoom, and Ms. Teams. This shows that the perception of nursing students at a private university on the of effectiveness of e-learning is good. Recommendation: For further researchers, it can discuss the factors that influence student perceptions of the of effectiveness of e-learning and relate them to nursing such as intellectual intelligence, interests and learning methods in terms of e-learning of effectiveness.
