Abstract

Latar belakang: Kecurangan akademik merupakan salah satu persoalan dalam dunia pendidikan yang terjadi di berbagai negara. Salah satu alasan yang menyebabkan terjadinya kecurangan akademik adalah ketidakpercayaan pada kapabilitas diri sendiri yang disebut efikasi diri. Studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan kepada 51 mahasiswa Fakultas Keperawatan angkatan 2019 di Satu Universitas Indonesia Bagian Barat, didapatkan hasil sebesar 70.6% mahasiswa pernah melakukan kecurangan akademik. Tujuan penelitian: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan kecurangan akademik pada mahasiswa Fakultas Keperawatan di Satu Universitas Indonesia Bagian Barat Metode penelitian: Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasional dengan sampel sebanyak 183 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner efikasi diri dan kecurangan akademik. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis korelasi Pearson. Hasil: Hasil analisis univariat efikasi diri mayoritas adalah sedang sebanyak 67,2 % (123 orang), dan hasil analisis univariat kecurangan akademik mayoritas adalah rendah sebanyak 90,2% (163 orang), kemudian hasil analisis bivariat dengan analisis uji korelasi Pearson didapatkan nilai p= 0.002 (p<0.05), yang berarti adanya hubungan signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan kecurangan akademik mahasiswa Fakultas Keperawatan di Satu Universitas Indonesia Bagian Barat Rekomendasi: Bagi peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk membahas faktor-faktor lain yang dapat memengaruhi terjadinya kecurangan akademik / Background: Academic fraud is one of the problems in education that occurs in various countries. One of the reasons that cause academic fraud is distrust in self-capabilities which is called self-efficacy. A preliminary study conducted on 51 students of the Faculty of Nursing 2019 at One Western University, the results were that 70.6% of students had committed academic fraud. Research objective: To find out the relationship between self-efficacy and academic cheating in students of the Faculty of Nursing at One Western University. Research methods: Researchers used a descriptive correlational method with a sample of 183 people. The research instrument used was a self-efficacy questionnaire and academic fraud. The data analysis used is the Pearson correlation analysis. Results: The results of the univariate analysis of the majority of self-efficacy were moderate as much as 67.2% (123 people), and the results of the univariate analysis of the majority of academic fraud were low as much as 90.2% (163 people), then the results of the bivariate analysis with the Pearson correlation test analysis obtained the value 0.002 (p <0.05), which means that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and academic cheating of students of the Faculty of Nursing at One Western University. Recommendation: For future researchers it is recommended to discuss other factors that can influence the occurrence of academic fraud.
