Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang kuliner khas Indonesia yang diangkat melalui media sebagai medium yang digunakan dalam mengkomunikasikannya. Media seperti film Aruna dan Lidahnya dapat menjadi sarana untuk memperkenalkan dan mengapresiasi kuliner khas indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana kuliner khas Indonesia direpresentasikan dalam Film Aruna dan Lidahnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif menggunakan metode analisis teori semiotika milik Roland Barthes. Unit analisis penelitian ini terdiri dari 13 unit analisis yang merepresentasikan kuliner khas indonesia. Melalalui unit analisis yang ada, peneliti melalui makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos akan menganalisis terkait dengan representasi kuliner khas Indonesia tersebut. Dari analisis yang dilakukan, penulis menemukan terdapat 4 hal yang disampaikan sebagai bentuk representasi dari Kuliner Khas Indonesia, yaitu (1) kuliner mencerminkan simbol hubungan (2) kuliner menjadi sumber memori dan kesenangan (3) kuliner menjadi makanan khas suatu daerah (4) kuliner menjadi kontestasi. Melalui representasi yang ada kuliner memiliki makna tidak hanya sebatas untuk memenuhi kebutuhan saja namun dapat menjadi unsur daya tarik dan memberikan makna tersendiri di hati penikmatnya. Visual yang diberikan dalam film ini bukan hanya sebatas untuk mengunggah selera saja tapi menampilkan cerita yang ada dibalik setiap kuliner tersebut. Melalui berbagai representasi yang sesuai dengan medium yang tepat kuliner khas Indonesia dapat diangkat dan memasuki arena kontestasi karena keunikan dan kekhasannya, kuliner khas Indonesia dapat memiliki nilai yang lebih agar dapat bersaing. / This study discusses the typical Indonesian culinary that is appointed through the media as the medium used to communicate it. Media such as the film Aruna and Lidahnya can be a means to introduce and appreciate Indonesian culinary specialties. The purpose of this study is to find out how Indonesian culinary specialties are represented in the Aruna and Lidahnya Films. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory analysis method. The unit of analysis of this study consists of 13 units of analysis that represent Indonesian culinary specialties. Through the existing units of analysis, researchers through the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myth will analyze the representations related to the typical Indonesian culinary. From the analysis carried out, the authors found that there were 4 things that were conveyed as a form of representation of Typical Indonesian Culinary, namely (1) culinary reflecting a symbol of relationship (2) culinary being a source of memory and pleasure (3) culinary being a special food of an area (4) culinary be a contest. Through the existing representations, culinary has meaning not only limited to meeting needs but can be an element of attraction and give its own meaning in the hearts of the audience. The visuals given in this film are not only limited to uploading tastes but also showing the story behind each of these dishes. Through various representations that are in accordance with the right medium, Indonesian culinary specialties can be appointed and enter the contestation arena because of their uniqueness and distinctiveness, Indonesian culinary specialties can have more value in order to compete.
