Abstract

Tingginya persentase ketidakpuasan karyawan merupakan permasalahan yang sering dialami oleh perusahaan saat ini, terutama di aspek manajemen sumber daya manusia tentang peraturan dan kebijakan, yang diterapkan oleh perusahaan. Peraturan dan kebijakan yang dimaksud dalam hal ini dapat berupa peraturan dan kebijakan tentang kenaikan gaji, bonus, penggunaan cuti, dan lain sebagainya. Penurunan kinerja yang tidak disertai dengan penemuan akar masalah beserta solusi menyebabkan sebagian besar karyawan memilih untuk mengundurkan diri dari perusahaan, tidak dapat dipungkiri perusahaan akan kehilangan karyawan yang dinilai berkualitas dan berkompeten. Oleh sebab itu, pembahasan mengenai kompensasi dan reward dapat dipertimbangkan oleh perusahaan untuk proses analisis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling, yaitu mengelola sejumlah data berdasarkan jumlah sampel yang ada tanpa melihat perbedaan karakteristik responden. Kriteria responden yang dipilih untuk menjadi sampel, yaitu 35 pekerja di PT. Surya Indah Medan. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan analisis validitas, reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, koefisien determinasi, uji T dan uji F. Dari hasil penelitian dapat dibuktikan bahwa kompensasi dan reward mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan di PT. Surya Indah Medan dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 83,7%./ The high rate of employees’s dissatisfaction is one of many reasons that happening in a company, especially in human resource department, about regulation and policy determined by the company. The regulation and policy include salary increasing, bonus, paid leave usage, etc. Unsolved problem about high rate employees’s dissatisfaction may result in resigned employee, that the company may run into another problem, such as losing high quality and competent employees. That is why the discussion about compensession and reward maybe considered by the company for the analyzing. The data collection is done by using simple random sampling which should be managed based on sample’s number without considering respondents’s characteristic differences. Chosen respondents’s criterias for the sample is 35 employees from PT. Surya Indah Medan. The collected data is analyzed by using validity analysis, reliability, classic assumption, coefficient determinant, T-test, and F-test. Based on the result, it can be proven that compensation and reward affect employees’s performance at PT. Surya Indah Medan with the result of coefficient determination is 83.7%.
