Abstract

Sekolah Lentera Harapan merupakan salah satu institusi pendidikan formal yang terdampak pandemi covid-19 sehingga harus melaksanakan kegiatan belajar dan mengajar secara daring. Proses pendidikan di sekolah ini ditunjang dengan fasilitas internet, komputer dan platform pembelajaran yang memadai. Meski demikian salah satu hal penting yang perlu diperhatikan adalah penggembalaan terhadap warga sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin gembala terhadap guru-guru tahun pertama dalam lingkungan virtual, mengetahui tantangan-tantangan yang dihadapi dalam melakukan penggembalaan dan cara mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif desain studi kasus. Narasumber dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling sebanyak enam narasumber yang terdiri atas tiga orang kepala sekolah dan tiga orang guru tahun pertama. Alat pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara. Keabsahan data dilakukan melalui validasi ahli dan triangulasi sumber data. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman dengan langkah-langkah yaitu mengumpulkan data, mereduksi data, menyajikan data dan menarik kesimpulan. Dari hasil analisis data ditemukan bahwa dalam menjalankan perannya sebagai pemimpin gembala, kepala sekolah memiliki beberapa karakter yang kuat yaitu mengetahui kebutuhan pengikutnya, memandang guru dari sudut pandang kekekalan, memberi teladan, rela berkorban, visioner, relasional dan menumbuhkan loyalitas. / Lentera Harapan School is one of the formal schools affected by the Covid-19 pandemic carrying out teaching and learning activities. The education process in this school is supported by adequate internet, computer and learning platform facilities. However, one of the important things that need to be considered is grazing of the school community. This study aims to know the role of the head of school as shepherd leader towards first-year teachers in a virtual environment, the challenges in shepherding and how to overcome them. This study used a qualitative case study design method. Resource persons in this study using purposive sampling as many as six sources consisting of three school principals and three first-year teachers. The data collection tool in this study was an interview. The validity of the data was done through expert validation and data source triangulation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model by following the stages starting from data collection, followed by reducing the data and then presenting the data, at the last stage concluding. From the data analysis, it was found that in carrying out his role as a shepherd leader, the principal has several strong characters, namely seeing the needs of his followers, seeing the teacher from an eternal perspective, setting an example, being willing to sacrifice, visionary, relational and fostering loyalty.
