Abstract

Unggahan penolakan pada pandemi Covid 19 dalam akun Instagram milik Jerinx merupakan bentuk komunikasi kepada audiens atas pemikiran Jerinx terhadap isu yang sedang berkembang di masyarakat. Ada dua kelompok berbeda, yang menyatakan Covid 19 sebagai pandemik dan kelompok lainnya menganggap sebuah konspirasi dan bisnis. Selebritis memiliki pengaruh dalam dunia sosial individu dan konsep yang melekat pada mereka semakin menguatkan potensi dalam memberikan pengaruh pada publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui penerimaan yang diberikan oleh pembaca terhadap pesan yang disampaikan oleh Jerinx melalui akun Instagram miliknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Analisis Resepsi dari Stuart Hall, bagaimana makna diciptakan dari masing-masing individu melalui pengalaman dan menciptakan makna dalam interaksi antara pembaca dengan teks pada media. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa informasi yang ditampilkan dalam unggahan dapat memberikan interpretasi bagi audiensnya. Penerimaan dan pemahaman pembaca dapat berbeda dikarenakan sejumlah aspek diantaranya identitas khalayak, persepsi atas teks media, latar belakang sosial, sejarah atau bahkan isu-isu politik. / Rejection post towards the Covid-19 Pandemic on Jerinx Instagram account is a form of communication to audience about Jerinx's thoughts of the ongoing issue that is growing in society. There are two different groups, one that acknowledge Covid-19 as a global pandemic, and the other that consider the Covid-19 as a result of conspiracy and business. Celebrities have influence in the world of social individual, and the concept that attached to them amplify their potential on giving influences to the public. This research is intended to acknowledge the reception that was given by the reader towards the message that was delivered by Jerinx through his Instagram account. This research uses Reception Analysis Theory from Stuart Hall, how significations are created from each individuals through experience and creating meaning in interactions between the reader and the text on the media. The result from this research shows that information that was displayed on Posts can provide interpretation to its audience. Reader’s reception and comprehension could resulted differently affected by some factors such as audience identity, perception to the media text, social and historical background, and even political issues.
