Abstract

The success of kindergarten students in the primary education is the most important thing that needs to be prepared. It includes both from the kid and family side, especially the readiness of parents. Relationships between learning motivation and family social support is an important contributor to school readiness. According to UNICEF there are three dimensions which are readiness of children, readiness of school and readiness of families and communities. The purpose of this study is to measure the relationship between learning motivation, family social support and school readiness. The design of this study was a correlational quantitative approach using population from students in Kindergarten XYZ in Bekasi. The results of this study showed that there was a positive relationship between learning motivation, family social support and school readiness (significance of 0.01). School readiness offers the chance for preschool students can be ready to enter to Primary as well as they have learning motivation and family social support. / Keberhasilan siswa TK dalam memasuki pendidikan di Sekolah Dasar adalah hal terpenting untuk dipersiapkan. Tidak hanya dilihat dari sisi anaknya saja, melainkan juga dari termasuk keluarga, terutama kesiapan orangtuanya. Hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan dukungan sosial keluarga merupakan kontribusi penting untuk kesiapan sekolah. Menurut UNICEF ada tiga dimensi yaitu kesiapan anak, kesiapan sekolah, serta kesiapan keluarga dan masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur hubungan antara motivasi belajar, dukungan sosial keluarga dan kesiapan sekolah. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional, dan data diambil dari keseluruhan populasi dari siswa TK B Sekolah XYZ di Bekasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara motivasi belajar, dukungan sosial keluarga dan kesiapan sekolah (signifikansi 0,01). Kesiapan sekolah menawarkan kesempatan bagi siswa prasekolah untuk siap masuk ke Sekolah Dasar serta memiliki motivasi belajar dan dukungan sosial keluarga.
