Abstract

Pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja organisasi masih belum konsisten berdasarkan hasil penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya. Fenomena bisnis dari industri asuransi umum di Indonesia memiliki tujuan untuk mengimplementasikan asuransi berkiblat teknologi (insurtech) untuk meningkatkan literasi asuransi di masyarakat dan mengejar inovasi digital yang telah berkembang dengan cepat di seluruh dunia. Untuk mengisi kesenjangan dan memitigasi fenomena bisnis, maka penelitian ini berupaya mengembangkan konsep baru tentang interaksi sinergistik antar individu dan kelompok dalam organisasi yang berkiblat tujuan untuk meningkatkan inovasi organisasi, mengembangkan budaya organisasi dan menumbuhkan kinerja organisasi di perusahaan asuransi umum di Indonesia. Target populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan asuransi umum di Indonesia yang terdaftar dalam Asosiasi Asuransi Umum Indonesia (AAUI) dan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan serta masih beroperasi aktif pada akhir tahun 2020. Sehingga dapat dikatakan penelitian ini mencakup industri asuransi umum di Indonesia. Pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner daring dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Analisis data dengan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) serta menggunakan perangkat pengolah data SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional memiliki pengaruh langsung dan positif terhadap interaksi sinergistik berkiblat tujuan, inovasi organisasi dan kinerja organisasi. Budaya organisasi juga memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kinerja organisasi. Selain itu, interaksi sinergistik berkiblat tujuan menunjukkan pengaruh positif terhadap inovasi organisasi, budaya organisasi dan kinerja organisasi. Perusahaan asuransi umum disarankan menerapkan interaksi sinergistik berkiblat tujuan yang berpotensi meningkatkan inovasi organisasi dan kinerja organisasi. / The influence of Transformational Leadership style on Organizational Performance is deemed inconsistent due to various findings on previous researches. Business phenomenon of general insurance industry in Indonesia aims to implement insurance technology (insurtech) to increase insurance literacy among society and to keep up with digital innovation which has progressed rapidly from all over the world. To fill in the gap, this study proposes Goal-Oriented Synergistic Interaction® as a new construct to increase organizational innovation, develop organizational culture and grow the organizational performance of Indonesian general insurance industry. Target population is all Indonesian general insurance companies that were listed both in the Indonesian General Insurance Association and Otoritas Jasa Keuangan and are actively in operation in 2020. Hence, it will represent general insurance industry in Indonesia. Data were collected through online questionnaire and used Likert Scales. This study employs Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques and SmartPLS software to process the data. The findings confirms that transformational leadership has a positive and direct relationship with Goal-Oriented Synergistic Interaction®, organizational innovation and organizational performance. Organizational culture also shown to have a positive relationship with organizational performance. Finally, goal-oriented synergistic interaction® confirms to have a positive relationship with organizational innovation, organizational culture and organizational performance. General insurance companies in Indonesia should consider to implement Goal-Oriented Synergistic Interaction® to develop Organizational Culture, enhance Organizational Innovation and accomplish Organizational Performance.
