Abstract

Dalam konteks pembelajaran daring, guru dituntut untuk lebih kreatif dalam pembelajaran khusunya dalam membuat peserta didik aktif. Keaktifan peserta didik merupakan hal penting dalam pembelajaran guna membantu guru dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Kenyataannya, keaktifan peserta didik masih kurang. Peserta didik lama, bahkan tidak merespon pertanyaan guru, dan juga jarang bertanya mengenai pembelajaran dengan kata lain pasif dan hanya menerima materi yang disampaikan. Aktif dalam pembelajaran merupakan salah satu bentuk tanggung jawab, bukan hanya untuk diri sendiri tapi untuk Tuhan yang memampukan individu untuk melakukannya. Oleh karena itu diterapkan metode discovery learning dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Selanjutnya, tujuan penulisan adalah untuk menjelaskan penggunaan metode discovery learning dalam mengupayakan keaktifan peserta didik pada pembelajaran daring. Penulisan tugas akhir ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode discovery learning merupakan metode dimana peserta didik dilibatkan sepenuhnya dalam mencari konsep atau materi pembelajaran secara mandiri yang dapat mengupayakan keaktifan peserta didik dengan langkah-langkah penerapannya adalah memberikan intruksi, menyusun materi, mencari data, mengolah data, menyajikan, dan mempresentasikannya. Adapun saran dalam tulisan ini yaitu agar guru harus mengembangkan diri sesuai perkembangan jaman agar dapat menggunakan media yang menarik perhatian peserta didik./In the context of online learning, teachers are required to be more creative in learning, especially in making students active. The activeness of students is important in learning to assist teachers in achieving learning objectives. In fact, the activeness of students is still lacking. Older students, do not even respond to teacher questions, and also rarely ask questions about learning, in other words, passive and only accept the material presented. Being active in learning is a form of responsibility, not only for oneself but for God who enables individuals to do so. Therefore, the discovery learning method is applied in classroom learning. Furthermore, the purpose of writing is to explain the use of discovery learning methods in seeking student activity in online learning. The writing of this final project uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The results of the study show that the discovery learning method is a method in which students are fully involved in finding concepts or learning materials independently which seeks the activeness of students with the implementation steps, namely giving instructions, compiling material, searching for data, processing data, presenting, and presenting it. The suggestions in this paper are that teachers must develop themselves according to the times so that they can use media that attract the attention of students.
