Abstract

Keaktifan belajar siswa merupakan salah satu faktor penentu tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran. Masalah terkait keaktifan belajar siswa sudah sering ditemukan dalam pembelajaran. Terlebih lagi dengan pembelajaran yang berubah dari tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran daring. Meskipun demikian, hal ini tetap harus menjadi perhatian bagi guru dan menemukan solusi dari permasalahan yang terjadi. Dengan perkembangan teknologi yang ada, guru dapat menggabungkan metode pembelajaran dengan inovasi. Salah satunya adalah penerapan metode diskusi dengan media breakout room pada Teams. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penulisan paper ini adalah untuk menunjukkan penerapan metode diskusi dengan breakout room pada platform pembelajaran Microsoft Teams dapat mendorong keaktifan belajar siswa dan untuk memaparkan penerapannya dalam menolong siswa agar terlibat secara aktif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan paper ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif.Dengan kemampuan yang dianugerahkan Tuhan untuk manusia dalam berpikir dan mengembangkan berbagai inovasi teknologi, guru dapat membangun suasana pembelajaran yang aktif. Hasil yang ditemukan adalah penerapan metode diskusi dengan breakout room dapat membuat siswa berkomunikasi satu sama lain dan terlibat secara aktif dalam pembelajaran. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan breakout room dapat mendorong masalah keaktifan belajar siswa SMA. Saran untuk para pendidik adalah lebih banyak mempelajari penerapan metode diskusi dengan breakout room dalam pembelajaran daring./Student learning activity is one of the determining factors for achieving learning objectives. Problems related to student learning activities have often been found in learning. Especially with learning that has changed from face-to-face to online learning. Even so, this should still be a concern for teachers and find solutions to problems that occur. With the development of existing technology, teachers can combine learning methods with innovation. One of them is the use of the discussion method with the media breakout room in Teams. Therefore, the purpose of writing this paper is to show that the application of the discussion method with breakout rooms on the Microsoft Teams learning platform can encourage active student learning and to explain its application in helping students to be actively involved during the learning process. The research method used in writing this paper is descriptive qualitative. With God-given abilities for humans to think and develop various technological innovations, teachers can build an active learning atmosphere. The results found are the application of the discussion method with a breakout room can make students communicate with each other and be actively involved in learning. It can be concluded that the application of the breakout room can encourage the problem of active learning of high school students. Suggestions for educators are to learn more about the application of discussion methods with breakout rooms in online learning.
