Abstract

Permasalahan lingkungan hidup menjadi salah satu tema dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Untuk dapat mengetahui bagaimana strategi penerapannya, penggunaan model dan metode pembelajarannya, mengidentifikasi aspek kemanfaatannya, serta menangkap makna dan pengaruhnya terhadap tumbuh kembangnya karakter peserta didik, diperlukanlah penelitian tentang implementasi pembelajaran lingkungan hidup ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif-deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah SD Tarakanita 3 Jakarta dengan melibatkan Kepala Sekolah, para guru/karyawan, peserta didik, dan juga orang tua secara purposive sampling dengan kemungkinan pengembangan snowball sampling. Data diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif dan wawancara sedangkan pengujian keabsahan data menggunakan aspek validitas dengan dua pendekatan yaitu uji kredibilitas dan uji depenability. Berdasarkan enam tema hasil deskripsi tekstural dan struktural, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran lingkungan hidup model informal metode 3R merupakan strategi pembelajaran komprehensif yang mengacu pada komponen pembelajaran berupa kompetensi (kognitif, psikomotorik, afektif), kegiatan belajar mengajar, dan asesmen (output penilaian sikap), baik yang dilakukan secara terprogram, pembiasaan, maupun keteladanan. Berdasarkan interpretasi deskriptif terhadap hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan pula bahwa penelitian terhadap implementasi pembelajaran lingkungan hidup model informal metode 3R ini berhasil menggali dan mengungkapkan makna tentang kesatuan, solidaritas, dan perilaku baik-buruk yang diidentifikasi berpengaruh terhadap upaya menumbuhkan karakter tanggungjawab, serta makna pengharapan dalam keterlibatan aktif yang mempengaruhi tumbuhnya karakter kreatif peserta didik / Environmental issue has become a learning theme in school. A research on the implementation of environmental education is required to understand the strategy, the models and methods of learning, to identify the objectives, and to acknowledge the meaning and influence on the growth of students’ characters. The method used in this study was qualitative-descriptive. The population was the principal, teachers and staff, students, and parents in SD Tarakanita 3 Jakarta, with purposive and snowball sampling. The data was obtained through participative observations and interviews, and tested for validity using two approaches of the validity test: dependability and credibility tests. Based on the six themes of textural and structural descriptions, it was concluded that the informal model of environmental education with 3R method, which was done as a program, habits or examples, is a comprehensive learning strategy that refers to the learning competences (cognitive, psychomotor, affective), teaching and learning activities, and assessment (attitude assessment output). Based on accordance to the descriptive interpretation of the research results, it can be concluded that research on the implementation of environmental education of informal model with 3R methods is able to explore and express the meaning of unity, solidarity, and good-bad behavior, which is identified as an influence to the growth of the responsibility, and creative character of the learners which is implied by the active engagemen
