Abstract

Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) memiliki visi untuk menghasilkan lulusan seorang pemimpin yang takut akan Tuhan, kompeten dan profesional serta memiliki misi untuk berpartisipasi secara redemtif dalam pengembangan individu dan masyarakat bagi kemuliaan Tuhan. Dengan ini, UPH mengharapkan para lulusannya untuk selalu mengembangan dirinya selama berkuliah sehingga nantinya dapat menjadi seorang pemimpin yang berkeinginan untuk melayani masyarakat. Visi dan misi tersebut dapat diwujudkan dengan disediakannya program kepanitiaan mulai dari skala program studi hingga berskala kampus oleh Universitas Pelita Harapan. Kegiatan kepanitiaan pada Universitas Pelita Harapan seringkali memiliki beberapa kendala seperti kesalahan pengambilan dokumen antara dokumen sebelum revisi dan dokumen final, folder dan file kepanitiaan yang rentan untuk terhapus, tidak tercatatnya job description yang perlu dikerjakan, keterlambatan penyelesaian job description, keterlambatan proses skrining dan revisi, ketidakhadiran para panitia pada rapat, dan lain-lain. Kendala-kendala tersebut dapat menimbulkan risiko besar terhadap keberhasilan dan kegagalan kepanitiaan. Oleh karena itu, tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk merancang suatu sistem yang dapat mengelola seluruh dokumen pada kepanitiaan yang terdapat di UPH. Sistem yang dirancang diharapkan dapat meminimalisir segala risiko, kendala dan kesalahan yang terjadi pada suatu kegiatan kepanitiaan di UPH. Sistem ini juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektifitas berjalannya proses kepanitiaan di Universitas Pelita Harapan, mempermudah administrasi pelaksanan kegiatan kepanitiaan, mendukung kesuksesan kepanitiaan serta mempermudah Departemen Student Life UPH dalam melakukan pencatatan kegiatan kemahasiswaan./ Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) has the vision to produce graduates who are taking roles as leaders who fear God, competent and professional. UPH also has a mission to participate redemptively in individual and community development for the glory of God. With this vision and mission, UPH expects graduates to always develop themselves during their studies so that later they can become leaders who are willing to serve the community. This vision and mission can be realized by providing committee programs ranging from study program scale to the campus scale committees by Universitas Pelita Harapan. Committee activities at Pelita Harapan University often experiencing several problems, such as errors in retrieving documents between documents before revision and final documents, committee folders and files are vulnerable to being deleted, unrecorded job descriptions that need to be done, delays in completing job descriptions, delays in the screening and revision process, the absence of the committee at the meeting, and others. These obstacles can pose a great risk to the success and failure of the event. Therefore, this final project aims to design a system that can manage all documents in the committees. The system designed is expected to minimize all risks, obstacles, and errors that occur in committee activity at UPH and increase the success rate of the committee. This system is also expected to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the committee process at Pelita Harapan University, simplify the administration of organizing committee activities, support the success of the committee and make it easier for the UPH Student Life Department to record student activities.
