Abstract

Schools in Medan are numerous. One of them is Sekolah Brigjend Katamso I in Sunggal. As the teacher is the main aspect of any school to grow and so this research is focused on the Teacher’s performance. The purpose of this research is to identify whether trainings affect teachers at Sekolah Brigjend Katamso I in Sunggal. The research was performed by applying descriptive, quantitative, and causal research methods. The population includes the Teacher of Sekolah Brigjend Katamso I. The number of samples are 47 respondents selected through the purposive sampling technique. The data was collected through questionnaire distribution. The data analysis methods are validity test, reliability test, descriptive statistics, classical assumption test, simple linear regression test, coefficient of determination test, and hypothesis test. Based on the data analysis, training has a positive effect on teacher’s performance. The coefficient of the determination test’s result is 0.466, which implies that training affect teacher’s performance by 46.6%, while the remaining 53.4% influenced by other factors. According to the result of the hypothesis test, tcount (6.272) > ttable (2.014), while the significant value is 0.00 < 0.05. It indicates that Ha is accepted, which implies that training affects teacher’s performance at Sekolah Brigjend Katamso I in Medan Sunggal. In terms of recommendations, the school should probably decrease the number of trainings to not give unnecessary pressures the teacher, reorganize and specifically choose the most useful topic of trainings for the teacher. For other researchers, the suggestion is to perform further research on other factors that may teacher’s performance and expand the sample criteria. / Sekolah di Medan sangat banyak. Salah satunya adalah Sekolah Brigjend Katamso I di Sunggal. Karena guru adalah aspek utama dari setiap sekolah untuk berkembang, maka penelitian ini difokuskan pada kinerja guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi apakah training (Pelatihan) mempengaruhi kinerja guru di Sekolah Brigjend Katamso I di Sunggal. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif, kuantitatif, dan kausal. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Guru Sekolah Brigjend Katamso I. Jumlah sampel 47 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melaui penyebaran kuesioner. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji validitas, uji realibilitas, statistic deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, uji regresi linear sederhana, uji koefisien determinasi, dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan analisis data, training berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja guru. Hasil uji koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,466 yang berarti pealtihan mempengaruhi kinerja guru sebesar 46,6% sedangkan sisanya yang berjumlah sebesar 53,4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, thitung (6,272) > ttabel (2,014), sedangkan nilai signifikansi adalah 0,00 < 0,05. Hal ini menunujukkan bahwa Ha diterima yang berarti bahwa training berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru di Sekolah Brigjend Katamso I in Medan Sunggal. Dalam hal rekomendasi, sekolah mungkin harus mengurangi jumlah training untuk tidak memberikan tekanan berlebihan kepada guru, megatur ulang dan secara spesifik memilih topik pelatihan yang paling berguna bagi guru. Bagi peneliti lain, disarankan untuk melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi kinerja guru dan memperluas kriteria sampel.
