Abstract

Pemerintah bekerja sama dengan perusahaan untuk membangun hubungan kooperatif dan tujuan yang saling menguntungkan. Menyadari ketergantungan bisnis dan potensi perselisihan, organisasi bisnis yakin bahwa regulator pemerintah adalah kompeten (competence), peduli (caring) dan mengatur secara efektif (effective regulation). Penelitian ini diuji kepada 200 pejabat regulator pemerintah di Kementerian dan Non Kementerian, serta 200 manajer bisnis dari berbagai industri yang berlokasi di provinsi DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana hubungan kepercayaan bisnis terhadap regulator pemerintah serta menganalisa hubungan kooperatif, kompetitif dan independen antara bisnis dan pemerintah dengan mengkonfirmasi social face satu sama lain. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Hubungan antara regulator pemerintah dan organisasi bisnis dengan saling mengkonfirmasi social face menghasilkan kepercayaan bisnis (business confidence); (2) Cooperative goals positif dan signifikan terhadap business confidence; (3) Competitive goals tidak memiliki korelasi dan signifikan terhadap business confidence; (4) Independent goals tidak memiliki korelasi dan signifikan terhadap business confidence dengan tidak saling konfirmasi social face; (5) Social face signifikan dan konsisten memediasi hubungan cooperative dan independent goals terhadap business confidence. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah regulator pemerintah dan organisasi bisnis harus bersama-sama mengembangkan arah bersama dan positif, identitas dan nilai-nilai sosial, terintegrasi dan saling menghormati satu sama lain dalam mencapai tujuan yang kooperatif (cooperative goals).
