Abstract

Transformative learning should become an important part of discussion in the school. Teacher is the spearhead of education so that teachers have to experience transformative learning. This study is to explore and examine the transformative learning experienced by teachers in the Sekolah Lentera Harapan Tangerang who taught in kindergarten through senior high school. This research was conducted with one of qualitative approach, which is grounded theory. Data was collected by interview and using purposive sampling at first in determining the subject of research. Purposive sampling is done by looking for samples in accordance with the needs and goals of the research. Data was analyzed by a method of analysis that is consistent with qualitative research methods, which is grounded theory. The result of reseach found that transformative learning of teachers experiences associated with internal change, knowing of God, learning with base on Word of God, willingnes to changed by God‟s Word, understanding purpose of Biblical learning, Christ center, sensitivity, awareness of the God‟s sovereignty, shalom community, holistic life before God, life purpose, life long learning, telling the truth, personal development, environment support, be proffesional and understanding of authority, and SLH vision and mission. / Pembelajaran transformatif harus menjadi bagian yang penting di dalam sekolah. Guru adalah ujung tombak dari pendidikan sehingga guru juga harus mengalami pembelajaran transformastif. Penelitian ini adalah menggali dan menguji pembelajaran transformatif yang dialami oleh guru di Sekolah Lentera Harapan Tangerang yang mengajar di tingkat TK sampai SMA. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan salah satu pendekatan kualitatif yaitu grounded theory. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara dan dihahului dengan purposive sampling di dalam menentukan subyek penelitian. Purposive sampling dilakukan dengan mencari sampel yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan tujuan dari penelitian. Data dianalisis dengan metode analisis yang sejalan dengan metode yang sejalan dengan penelitian kualitatif yaitu grounded theory. Berdasarkan penelitian, ditemukan bahwa proses pembelajaran transformatif yang terjadi pada diri guru berkaitan dengan perubahan internal, pengenalan akan Tuhan, pembelajaran berdasarkan Firman Tuhan, kerelaan diubahkan oleh Firman Tuhan, pemahaman tujuan pengajaran yang Alkitabiah, berpusat kepada Kristus, kepekaan, kesadaran akan kedaulatan Allah, komunitas syalom, hidup utuh di hadapan Tuhan, tujuan hidup, berlangsung seumur hidup, menyatakan kebenaran, pengembangan diri, dukungan lingkungan, profesional dan otoritas, dan visi misi SLH.
