Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of instructional leadership, task load on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative approach with the census method, which is the study that takes one population group as a whole sample and uses a structured questionnaire as the main data collection instrument to obtain specific information. The questionnaire instruments are distributed to 60 respondents who are lecturers who work at the dental faculty of IIK Bhakti Wiyata Kediri. Statistical testing is carried out using Partial Least Square (PLS) as an appropriate method for estimating the path model using latent constructs with multiple indicators. The findings indicated that instructional leadership have positive effects on organizational commitment and job satisfaction, while task load have negative effects on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. This findings have important implications particularly for faculty leaders in order to increase lecturer’s organizational commitment and job satisfaction towards the organization, where the ability of leaders to communicate actively and positively and be able to organize work procedures and systems in a proportional and professional manner can increase organizational commitment and job satisfaction of lecturers towards organization / Tujuan penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menganalisis pengaruh instructional leadership, task load terhadap komitmen organisasi dan kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode sensus, yang merupakan suatu penelitian yang mengambil satu kelompok populasi sebagai sampel secara keseluruhan dan menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur sebagai alat pengumpulan data utama untuk mendapatkan informasi spesifik. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner didistribusikan kepada 60 orang responden yang merupakan para dosen yang bekerja di fakultas kedokteran gigi IIK Bhakti Wiyata Kediri. Pengujian statistik dilakukan dengan menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS) sebagai metode umum yang dinilai tepat untuk mengestimasi path model yang menggunakan konstruk laten dengan multiple indikator. Temuan penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa instructional leadership berpengaruh positif terhadap komitmen organisasi dan kepuasan kerja, sedangkan task load berpengaruh negatif terhadap komitmen organisasi dan kepuasan kerja. Temuan penelitian ini memiliki implikasi penting terutama bagi pimpinan fakultas dalam meningkatkan komitmen organisasi dan kepuasan kerja para dosen kearah organisasi, dimana kemampuan pimpinan untuk berkomunikasi secara aktif dan positif serta mampu mengorganisir prosedur dan sistem kerja secara proporsional dan profesional dapat meningkatkan komitmen organisasi dan kepuasan kerja dosen kearah organisasi
