Abstract

Kemampuan berbicara dan keberanian menjadi satu hal yang sangat penting untuk diperhatikan dalam tahap perkembangan anak. Data yang didapatkan melalui pengamatan pra siklus yaitu lebih dari setengah jumlah siswa di kelas masih menggunakan kalimat pendek ketika berbicara dan terlihat kurang percaya diri. Untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berbicara dan keberanian anak, maka diperlukan sebuah metode sehingga kemampuan berbicara dan keberanian anak dapat berkembang dengan sempurna. Metode belajar yang digunakan adalah metode show and tell. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain Kemmis dan Mc Tagart. PTK dilakukan selama 2 siklus dan disetiap siklus terdapat 2 kali pertemuan. Pengukuran dilakukan pada anak kelas TKB usia 5-6 tahun dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 8 anak. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengambil data adalah angket, lembar wawancara, dan jurnal refleksi. Data yang didapatkan diolah dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa metode show and tell meningkatkan variabel kemampuan berbicara sebesar 90,9% dan keberanian sebesar 95,6%. / Speaking skills and courage on the arguments are very important things to be concerned in the child’s development stage. The data obtained through pre-cycle observation are, more than half of the students in the class still use short sentences when speaking and look less confident. To develop children’s speaking skills and courage on arguments, a method is needed so that children’s speaking skills and courage can develop perfectly. The learning method used is the show and tell method. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the design of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. CAR carried out for 2 cycles and in each cycle there were 2 meetings. Measurements was carried out on kidergarten class aged 5-6 years with a total of 8 students. The instruments used to collect data were rubrics, interview sheets, and reflection journals. The data obtained were processed and analyzed descriptively. The result showed that show and tell method improve the variable for speaking skill was 90,9% and courage on arguments was 95,6%.
