Abstract

Inquiry-Based Learning is a learning model that makes students become the learning centers. When students are actively involved in learning, it can build students' critical thinking skills, enhance student creativity, and collaborative problem solving skills. This research was conducted with the aim to see the application of Inquiry-Based Learning to improve critical thinking skills, creativity, and collaborative problem solving skills of students which are focused on science lessons in class 1 of X Private Elementary School in North Jakarta. The design of this study is quantitative, pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest. The research subjects were 34 students in class I A of the X Private Primary School in North Jakarta who received Inquiry-Based Learning treatments. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics in the form of Two Relates Samples Tests with the Wilcoxon test. There was an increase in students' critical thinking skills with scores (sig. 2-tailed) 0,000 <0,050 with Z = -4,813, student’s creativity with scores (sig. 2-tailed) 0,000 <0,050 with Z = -5,128, and student’s collaborative problem solving skills with scores (sig. 2-tailed) 0,000 <0,050 with Z = -5,041 after being treated with Inquiry-Based Learning. The results of the analysis indicate that there are differences in critical thinking skills, creativity, and collaborative problem solving skills of class I A students at the school after the treatment of Inquiry-Based Learning. / Inquiry-Based Learning merupakan sebuah model pembelajaran yang menjadikan siswa sebagai pusat pembelajaran. Ketika siswa terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran, maka hal tersebut dapat membangun keterampilan siswa dalam berpikir kritis, meningkatkan kreativitas siswa, dan meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah secara kolaboratif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat penerapan Inquiry-Based Learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah secara kolaboratif siswa yang difokuskan pada pelajaran IPA di kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar Swasta X di Jakarta Utara. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, pra-eksperimental one group pretest-posttest. Subyek penelitian adalah 34 siswa di kelas I A Sekolah Dasar Swasta X di Jakarta Utara yang menerima sejumlah perlakuan Inquiry-Based Learning. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial berupa Two Relates Samples Tests dengan uji Wilcoxon. Terdapat peningkatan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan skor (sig. 2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,050 dengan nilai Z= -4,813, kreativitas siswa dengan skor (sig. 2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,050 dengan nilai Z= -5,128, dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah secara kolaboratif siswa dengan skor (sig. 2- tailed) 0,000 < 0,050 dengan nilai Z= -5,041 setelah diberi perlakuan Inquiry-Based Learning. Hasil analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah secara kolaboratif siswa kelas I A di sekolah tersebut setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Inquiry-Based Learning.
