Abstract
Pada penelitian ini ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara interval waktu makan dengan tidur terhadap kejadian GERD, dengan p value < 0,05 dan odds ratio 2,7 (95% CI 1,151- 6,427)./Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is a condition in which reflux of gastric contents occurs which could cause a series of complications and disturbing symptoms. Several studies have found that a short interval between mealtime and bedtime could potentially be one of the risk factors for GERD, while during the COVID-19 pandemic there was an increase in poor eating patterns, including the habit of consuming food or snacks late at night. This study was conducted to determine whether there is a relationship between mealtime and bedtime intervals with the incidence of GERD in students of Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan (FK UPH). This research is a comparative analytic study with a cross-sectional design. Data collection took place online starting from January 2022 to February 2022. The sample size of this study was 158 preclinical students of FK UPH, which met the inclusion and exclusion criteria of this study. The Data that were obtained were then summarized with Microsoft Excel and analyzed using SPSS with Chi-square test. This study found a significant relationship between meal to sleep interval with the prevalence of GERD, with p value <0.05 and odds ratio 2.7 (95% CI 1.151-6.427).
