Abstract

Sikap Menghargai sesama begitu penting dalam pendidikan di era sekarang, sehingga perlu dijadikan sebagai kebiasaan dalam diri siswa. Kurangnya sikap menghargai menyebabkan kurangnya komunikasi dan kerja sama yang baik di antara siswa. Situasi ini penulis jumpai selama pelaksanaan tugas PPL di kelas X di salah satu sekolah di Lampung Tengah. Siswa menunjukkan sikap tidak menghargai sesamanya ketika mereka berkata kasar kepada sesamanya, tidak memperhatikan dan mendengarkan pendapat temannya, mengganggu dan menendang kursi teman saat guru menjelaskan dalam kelompok. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, salah solusi yang diajukan penulis adalah penerapan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif metode jigsaw. Oleh sebab itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah mengkaji upaya guru dalam mendorong siswa untuk menghargai sesama melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif metode jigsaw. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh sikap menghargai siswa kepada sesama yang ditandai dengan sikap siswa saat berdiskusi dalam kelompok dan juga melalui form penilaian teman sebaya. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode jigsaw ini mampu mendorong siswa memiliki sikap menghargai sesama dalam pembelajaran. Saran kepada guru ialah perlu memahami dan mengenali sikap siswa dalam kelas, sehingga guru dapat menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai. Kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk dapat mengkaji penelitian ini dari persepektif yang lebih luas dan dari aspek selain aspek afektif./ The attitude of respect for others is so important in education in this era, that it needs to be used as a habit in students. The lack of appreciative attitude leads to a lack of good communication and cooperation among students. This situation the author encountered during the implementation of PPL assignments in class X at one of the schools in Central Lampung. Students show disrespect for their neighbors when they say harshly to others, do not pay attention and listen to their friends' opinions, harass, and kick friends' chairs when the teacher explains in groups. To overcome this problem, one of the solutions proposed by the author is the application of cooperative learning strategies of the jigsaw method. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the efforts of teachers in encouraging students to respect others through the application of cooperative learning strategies of the jigsaw method. The results showed that there was an influence of students' respect for others which was marked by student attitudes when discussing in groups and through peer assessment forms. Thus, the application of this jigsaw method can encourage students to have an attitude of respect for others in learning. The advice to the teacher is that it is necessary to understand and recognize the attitudes of students in the classroom, so that the teacher can apply the appropriate learning methods. To the next researcher to be able to examine this research from a broader perspective and from aspects other than affective aspects.
