Abstract

Latar belakang : Di Indonesia, merokok merupakan salah satu gaya hidup yang sering dianut oleh masyarakat. Pada tahun 2011, diketahui bahwa prevalensi jumlah perokok di Indonesia sebesar 36,1%. Perokok di Indonesia tidak hanya datang dari kalangan pria, namun juga datang dari kalangan wanita. Kebiasaan merokok dapat menyebabkan penyakit seperti kanker, penyakit kardiovaskular, dan pernapasan. Selain itu, kebiasaan merokok dapat mengganggu fertilitas perempuan dan berdampak pada pola siklus dan nyeri menstruasi yang dirasakan. Tujuan : Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara perilaku merokok dengan pola siklus dan rasa nyeri menstruasi pada perempuan usia reproduktif. Peneliti berhipotesis bahwa terdapat hubungan antara perilaku merokok dengan pola siklus dan nyeri menstruasi yang dirasakan pada perempuan usia reproduktif. Metodologi : Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah studi dengan tipe studi analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan dengan desain studi potong lintang. Sampel penelitian adalah perempuan usia reproduktif dengan minimal sebanyak 262 sampel, diambil secara consecutive sampling. Data akan diambil menggunakan kuesioner google form visual analog scale dan skala perilaku merokok oleh Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC). Hasil penelitian : Pada penelitian ini ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku merokok terhadap pola siklus menstruasi dengan nilai p < 0,001 dan hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku merokok terhadap tingkat nyeri menstruasi dengan nilai p < 0,001. Selain itu, didapatkan juga bahwa perempuan dengan perilaku merokok yang buruk memiliki risiko untuk mengalami pola siklus tidak teratur sebesar 4,379 kali lipat. Didapatkan juga bahwa perempuan dengan perilaku merokok yang buruk memiliki risiko 6,923 kali lipat untuk mengalami tingkat nyeri menstruasi lebih berat. / Background : In Indonesia, smoking is a lifestyle that is often adopted by the community. In 2011, it is known that the prevalence of smokers in Indonesia is 36.1%. Smokers in Indonesia not only come from men, but also come from women. Smoking habits can cause diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. In addition, smoking habits can interfere with female fertility and have an impact on cycle patterns and perceived menstrual pain. Objectives : This study was conducted to determine the relationship between smoking behavior with cycle patterns and menstrual pain in women at reproductive age. Researchers hypothesize that there is a relationship between smoking behavior with cycle patterns and menstrual pain felt in women at reproductive age. Methodology : This research is a type of unpaired categorical comparative analytic study with a cross-sectional study design. The research sample was women at reproductive age with a minimum of 262 samples, taken by consecutive sampling. Data will be collected using a google form visual analog scale questionnaire and smoking behavior scale by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Results : In this study, a significant relationship was found between smoking behavior and the pattern of the menstrual cycle with p value < 0.001 . Another significant relationship was found between smoking behavior and menstrual pain levels with p value < 0.001. In addition, it was also found that women with poor smoking behavior had a 4.379-fold risk of experiencing irregular cycle patterns. It was also found that women with poor smoking behavior had a 6.923-fold risk of experiencing heavier levels of menstrual pain.
