Abstract

Mendidik karakter murid seturut dengan apa yang Allah kehendaki adalah salah satu tujuan dari pendidikan Kristen. Manusia diciptakan oleh Allah sebagai mahluk sosial. Guru Kristen wajib memperhatikan bagaimana sikap sosial murid dalam proses pembelajaran. Sebagai gambar rupa Allah, murid seharusnya mencerminkan karakter Kristus dalam kehidupannya. Hasil observasi di salah satu sekolah Kristen menggambarkan bahwa murid kurang menunjukkan sikap saling menghargai. Dari fakta itulah seharusnya guru menjalankan peran dengan sebaik-baiknya. Guru dapat menuntun kepada pemahaman yang benar dan memfasilitasi murid untuk dapat membangun relasi yang baik sehingga tercipta sikap saling menghargai satu sama lain. Tujuan dari penulisan ini yaitu untuk memaparkan penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif sebagai upaya guru dalam membentuk sikap saling menghargai murid dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil yang didapat yaitu adanya perubahan sikap murid ketika menggunakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif. Murid menghargai teman saat kerja kelompok, mau mendengarkan penjelasan guru dengan baik, dan tertib mengikuti pelajaran. Kesimpulannya, metode pembelajaran kooperatif merupakan salah satu upaya yang dapat digunakan guru untuk membentuk sikap menghargai murid. Sarannya, yaitu observasi sebaiknya dilakukan berkala, perlu alat ukur sikap menghargai yang lebih spesifik, mencantumkan data berupa angket, menerapkan peer assessment dan mengajak murid merefleksikan pembelajaran yang telah dipelajari sebagai tindak lanjut dari penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif. / Educating the character of students according to what God wants is one of the goals of Christian education. Humans are social beings. Christian teachers must pay attention to the social attitudes of students in the learning process. As the image of God, the disciple should reflect the character of Christ in his life. The results of observations in one Christian school illustrate that students do not show mutual respect. From that fact, the teacher should carry out the role as well as possible. Teachers can lead to true understanding and facilitate students to build good relationships to create mutual respect. The purpose is to describe cooperative learning methods as a teacher's effort to make students mutual respect, with qualitative descriptive methods. The results obtained are changes in student attitudes when using cooperative learning methods. Students respect their friends during group work, are willing to listen to the teacher's explanations well, and follow the lesson orderly. In conclusion, the cooperative learning method is one of the efforts that teachers can use to form an attitude of respect for students. Suggestions, namely observations should be carried out periodically, need a more specific appreciative measure, include data in the form of a questionnaire, apply peer assessment and invite students to reflect on what they have learned as a followup to the application of cooperative learning methods.
