Abstract

Penulisan proyek akhir ini dilatarbelakangi penemuan penulis selama PPL 2, bahwa siswa memilik pemahaman konsep yang rendah. Dapat diukur melalui hasil belajar siswa pada formatif 1. Pemahaman konsep adalah satu aspek penting dalam menciptakan pendidikan yang mentransformasi siswa. terdapat tiga indikator pengukur pemahaman konsep siswa yaitu kemampuan untuk memahami (C2), Menerapkan (C3), Menganalisis (C4) materi pembelajaran. Meninjau hal tersebut penggunaan metode yang tepat akan menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Sehingga penulisan proyek akhir ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan penerapan metode latihan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas 11 IPA pada pembelajaran kimia. Penulisan proyek akhir ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan sumber data dari pengalaman penulis selama PPL 2 dan teori-teori yang relevan. Penerapan metode latihan dengan enam langkah-langkah dibuktikan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Dimulai dari pemberian motivasi/semangat, tujuan pembelajaran, penyampaian materi, pemberian latihan, review materi dan pemberian tugas. Setiap langkahnya, memiliki esensi untuk menuntun siswa mengalami peningkatan pemahaman konsep. Pemahaman konsep yang meningkat akan membawa siswa mengalami transformasi pada dirinya. Dengan demikian penulis menyarankan untuk dapat mengelola pembagian waktu yang baik dalam setiap langkahnya dan dapat mengolaborasikan metode ini dengan media ajar agar siswa lebih mudah memahami materi yang dipelajari sehingga pemahaman konsep akan semakin mudah dibentuk/ The writing of this final project was based on the author's discovery during PPL 2, that students had low conceptual understanding. Can be measured through student learning outcomes in formative 1. Concept understanding is an important aspect in creating education that transforms students. there are three indicators measuring students' conceptual understanding, namely the ability to understand (C2), apply (C3), and analyze (C4) learning materials. Considering this, the use of the right method will be a solution to improve students' understanding of concepts. So that the writing of this final project aims to describe the application of the training method in increasing the understanding of the concepts of 11th grade science students in chemistry learning. The writing of this final project uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data sources from the author's experience during PPL 2 and relevant theories. The application of the practice method withsix steps is proven to improve students' concep tual understanding. Starting from the provision of motivation/spirit, learning objectives, delivery of material, providing training, reviewing material, and giving assignments. Each step, has the essence to guide students to increase understanding of concepts. Increased understanding of concepts will bring students to experience a transformation in themselves. Thus, the authors suggest being able to manage the division of time well in each step and be able to collaborate this method with teaching media so that students more easily understand the material being studied so that understanding concepts will be more easily formed.
