Abstract

Penerapan metode tanya jawab dapat menjadi upaya guru dalam meningkatkan keaktifan siswa. Keaktifan siswa seringkali menjadi masalah dalam proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan di kelas 7.1 ditemukan bahwa keaktifan siswa adalah masalah yang terjadi selama proses pembelajaran. Hal ini terlihat dari siswa pasif dan enggan untuk berinteraksi dalam proses belajar mengajar. Metode tanya jawab dapat digunakan oleh guru sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa selama pembelajaran dengan berbagai pertanyaan yang diberikan disertai dengan tugas yang harus dikerjakan oleh siswa berupa pertanyaan-pertanyaan tertulis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji penerapan metode tanya jawab untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui lima fokus kajian yaitu 1) keaktifan siswa, 2) metode tanya jawab, 3) penerapan metode tanya jawab untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa, 4) permasalahan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran, 5) penerapan metode tanya jawab pada kelas 7.1. Hasil dari penerapan metode tanya jawab dapat digunakan sebagai upaya guru untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa kelas 7.1. Saran untuk guru yaitu: 1) mempersiapkan pertanyaan untuk melatih cara berpikir kritis siswa; 2) menggunakan media pembelajaran yang menarik; 3) membekali diri dengan berbagai teori yang mendukung standar kompetensi guru./The application of the question and answer method can be a teacher's effort in increasing student activity. Student activity is often problem in the learning process. Based on the results of observations made in class 7.1, it was found that student activity was problem that occurred during the learning process. This can be seen from the passive and reluctant students to interact in the teaching and learning process. The question and answer method can be used by teachers as an effort to increase student activity during learning with various questions given accompanied by assignments that must be done by students in the form of written questions. The purpose of this study was to examine the application of the question and answer method to increase student activity in learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through five focus studies, namely 1) student activity, 2) question and answer method, 3) application of question and answer method to increase student activity, 4) student activity problems in learning, 5) application of question and answer method in class 7.1. The results of the application of the question and answer method can be used as a teacher's effort to increase the activity of class 7.1 students. Suggestions for teachers are: 1) preparing questions to train students' critical thinking; 2) using interesting learning media; 3) equip themselves with various theories that support teacher competency standards.
