Abstract

Salah satu penentu keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran adalah keaktifan siswa. Keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran sangat di butuhkan karena orientasi dari pembelajaran itu sendiri adalah siswa. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi keaktifan siswa adalah pemilihan metode pembelajaran yang tepat. Selama pelaksanaan PPL 2 di salah satu sekolah di Jakarta, ditemukan kurangnya keaktifan siswa kelas XI IPA yang berjumlah 25 orang dalam pembelajaran. Diketahui siswa kurang aktif bertanya, menjawab pertanyaan, membuka WhatsApp dan google ketika pembelajaran, serta kurang berpartisipasi aktif dalam berdiskusi. Penerapan metode diskusi dan tanya jawab dalam pembelajaran sebagai solusi dari rendahnya keaktifan siswa membawa kepada tujuan penulisan, yakni bagaimana penerapan metode diskusi dan tanya jawab mendorong keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif, dapat dilihat bahwa penerapan metode diskusi dan tanya jawab dapat mendorong keaktifan siswa. Hasil penerapan kedua metode ini menunjukkan siswa terdorong aktif, seperti bertanya, menjawab pertanyaan, antusias mengerjakan latihan, aktif diskusi, dan berani menyampaikan hasil pengerjaan di depan kelas. Penerapan metode diskusi dan tanya jawab sekaligus menjadi solusi bagi guru Kristen dalam menuntun siswa menjadi murid Kristus yang bertanggungjawab. Dalam penelitian selanjutnya, disarankan saat penerapan metode tanya jawab sangat penting untuk mempersiapkan pertanyaan sesuai dengan materi dan memastikan seluruh siswa berdiskusi saat proses pengerjaan latihan / One of the determinants of success in learning is student activity. The activeness of students in learning is determined because the orientation of the learning itself is the student. One of the factors that influences student activity is the selection of appropriate learning methods. During the implementation of PPL 2 in one of the schools in Jakarta, it was found that there was a lack of activity by class XI IPA students, who gathered 25 people for learning. Students are less active in asking questions, answering questions, opening WhatsApp and Google when learning, and participating less in conflicts. The application of discussion and question and answer methods in learning as a result of low student activity provides the purpose of writing, namely, how to apply discussion and question and answer methods that encourage student activity in learning. Through qualitative descriptive methods, it can be seen that the application of discussion and question and answer methods can encourage student activity. The results of the application of these two methods showed that students were actively encouraged, such as by asking questions, 2 answering questions, enthusiastically doing exercises, actively discussing, and daring to convey the results of their work in front of the class. The application of discussion and question and answer methods is also a solution for Christian teachers in guiding students to become responsible disciples of Christ. In future research, it is recommended that when applying the answer method, it is very important to prepare questions according to the material and ensure students practice during the process of doing the exercises.
