Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains merupakan keterampilan dasar yang dibutuhkan dalam suatu kegiatan penyelidikan atau penelitian. Keterampilan ini sangatpenting untuk dimiliki oleh setiap siswa di dalam pembelajaran khususnyape mbelajaran sains seperti biologi. Keterampilan proses sains siswa dapat dinilai berdasarkan hasil tes dalam bentuk lembar kerja siswa. Hasil observasi selama pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas XI IPS SLH Curug Tangerang, ditemukan bahwa keterampilan proses sains yang dimiliki oleh siswa masih kurang. Hasil tes menunjukkan bahwa presentase siswa yang lulus KKM hanya sebesar 60,71 % dengan nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 72,5. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa melalui penerapan metode praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Model penelitian tindakan kelas yang digunakan adalah model penelitian Pelton yang dilaksanakan dengan dua kali penerapan tindakan. Penelitian dilakukan di SLH Curug Tangerang dengan subyek penelitian siswa kelas XI IPSpada tanggal 24 Juli – 16 Oktober 2018. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah RPP, lembar umpan balik guru mentor, lembar observasi penilaian metode, tes dalam bentuk LKS dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa dengan presentase siswa yang lulus KKM pada penerapan tindakan 1 dan 2 mencapai 100% serta presentase nilai rata-rata siswa pada penerapan tindakan 1 dan 2 sebesar88,21 % dan 89,81 %. Metode praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa karena selama pelaksanaan praktikum, guru membimbing siswa dalam mengerjakan setiap tahapan dalam praktikum. Penerapan metode ini dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sainss iswa dengan menerapkan langkah-langkah: 1) menyajikan masalah/pertanyaan,2) merumuskan hipotesis, 3) merancang percobaan, 4) melakukan percobaan, 5)mengumpulkan data, 6) menyusun kesimpulan./ Science process skill is crucial for each student, especially in science subject like biology. Students' science process skill can be assessed based on test results of students‟ worksheet. From the results of observations during the learning process in class XI IPS SLH Curug Tangerang, it was found that the students‟ science process skill did not meet the standard. Test results showed that the percentage of students who passed the standardized score was only 60.71% with an average score of 72.5. This study aimed to improve students' science process skills through the implementation of guided inquiry-based practicum method. The class action research model used is Pelton research model with two implementation. The study was conducted at SLH Curug Tangerang from July 24 to October 16 2018 with XI IPS students as the research subjects. The research instruments used were RPP, mentor teacher feedback sheet, observation method evaluation sheet, tests in the form of students‟ worksheet and researcher reflection journals. The results showed that the Implementation of guided inquiry-based practicum method improved students‟ science process skill with the percentage of students who passed the standardized score on the implementation of action 1 and action 2 was 100% and the percentage of students' average scores on the implementation of action 1 was 88.21% and action 2 was 89.81%. Guided inquiry-based practicum method can improve students' science process skills as students get guidance from the teacher. The application of this method can improve students' science process skills by applying the following steps: 1) presenting problems/ questions, 2) formulating hypotheses, 3) designing experiments, 4) conducting experiments, 5) collecting data, 6) drawing conclusions.
