Abstract
Christian English teachers should be able to integrate the subject matter with the Bible. Through the Bible, the teachers and the students will be able to see English subject from the perspective of God. However, it is found that there are only two of three Christian English teachers have implemented biblical integration in English class. This study aims to explore to what extent Christian English teachers have implemented biblical integration, to identify the opportunities that they obtain, and the challenges that they face when they implement or want to implement biblical integration in their classroom. The method used in this research is qualitative literature study research. The instrument used to collect the data were reflection journal, interview and observational notes. The result shows that the way that the teachers used to integrate the lesson was bring the students to the concept of creation through corresponding the topic with the Bible verses or stories. The opportunities are obtained from the school’s foundation, curriculum, teachers experiences, student’s family background, and parents’ will. The challenges faced are related to limitation of time to prepare and deliver the integrated material, the spirituality and authority of the teacher, and the actions of parents.
